Well its that time again for another blog update on what ive been up to so here goes.... First i will start off with my standard bitching about bad beats section of the week. Ill start by talking about how ive been playing great live poker and keep getting absolutely shit on by the cards. I havent been played any live poker in almost a week but its probably for the best as i think ive strung together like 4 or 5 losing sessions in a row. Three of the sessions were kinda small losses but in a couple sessions at the Wynn i was stuck over 1600 and over 1200. That might not sound like too much but to get that stuck in a 2/5 game is quite impressive haha, especially since the Wynn has recently changed their 2/5 game to a 1500 maximum buy-in, instead of no cap like it used to be. The weird thing is is that i feel like ive actually been playing really good poker but just everytime i get it in for a big pot i lose. I seriously played the best ive played in a long time the other day and still ended up losing like 500 and was actually stuck like 1600 at one point. Heres the hand i talked about at the end of the last session and it pretty much sums up how ive been running whenever i get it for big pots. The HAND-

Ive been at the new table for about an hour, the table is playing pretty tight, ive been raising quite a bit pre/playing a decent amount of pots, and am sitting with like 1800 or so when.....
Im in late position with 68 of clubs, 1 limper whos horrible so i make it 20, the button calls, the sb, bb, and the limper all call. So we have 5 way action to the flop with 100 in the middle. FLOP comes down J 9 7 with 2 spades. The blinds check and the limper who only has like around 100 left bets out a smallish/stupid bet of 20, i decide to just call to hopefully get at least another caller, to my suprise everyone calls. The TURN is a beautiful 5 and now everyone checks to me so i decide to bet out 115 into the 200 and the guy to my left instantly says "IM ALL In" like before i even finished betting out my chips. Well he called the 115 and shoved all in for 1k more! I obviously call pretty confidently as this guy was nowhere near smart nor competant enough to over shove the nuts. He has a set of 99s and obviously the river pairs the board with another J and the 2.5k pot gets shipped his way, standard. To make things even better, literally like 6 hands later i get this lady all in with just a J high flush draw against my KK for like a 1k pot, obviously spikes the flush on the river. I run well. After all that and being stuck like 1600 right from the get go i still managed to only lose like 400 or something and really shouldve had like a + 2k day. Ive just been running horrible whenever the money goes in in the big pots...... alright enough with my rant.

Other than running horrible at live poker the online scene has been going pretty well the past week. Ive only been playing PLO ranging from 1-2 to 5-10 and its been going good. I actually cant even recall the last time ive even played no limit online, been at least a few months since my last serious nl session. I think everyone pretty much knows how to play no limit now and the games are way tougher than they were over the past few years. Omaha though is still filled with bad players that really dont know what their doing, kinda like how the nl games used to be a couple years ago. So for now im going to keep grinding away the PLO online and playing nl live.

Well i was planning on putting up a few pics and talking about my weekend but this is getting way too long. Dont worry i still plan on doing my europe trip pics/summary and the porn convention with pics but am just kinda lazy. Hopefully ill get some kind of energy within the next few days and actually write up the summarys and put up the pics. Probably going to go play live tomorrow somewhere on the strip so check back for that and im out.

Poker is fun

Its a funny thing about poker.... One day you can feel like your the best and on top of the world, and the next day it can make you feel clueless. Thats how i feel sometimes anyways. Things were going quite well for the short time ive played into the new year before they came to a screaching hault over the past 3 days. I was up a little over 4k (2k from live play/2k from online)and on my way to a nice little 12k month to start the year off until the poker gods decided to slap me back down. I was trying to find a clip of when Hellmuth went nuts saying "if there werent luck in poker id win em' all" but somehow one of the greatest quotes EVER spoken to this day is not on youtube. You might not like Hellmuth but truer (not sure if thats even a word) words have never been spoken and pretty much sum up my past 3 days. Ive been playing great this year and should easily be up about 8k or so on the year but have just ran stupid awful the past 3 days. But i guess thats poker and no one likes to hear bitchy bad beat stories so ill just stop now before i go on some long rant and throw my computer out the window.... haha jk.

Outside of poker i havent really been doing a whole lot since the new year. For my birthday i did in fact end up taking the "laying low" approach by just hanging with the gf and not doing the usual "get as rediculously drunk as possible" thing. We started off by her taking me to dinner at Ruth Chris's steakhouse http://www.ruthschris.com/ which was amazing and im going to go out on a limb here and say it mightve been one of the best steaks ive EVER had. Thats a pretty bold statement to make since ive ate at a lot of the "fancy/expensive" restaurants here in Vegas. Its really not that bad on the wallet either. I think our bill including appetizers,cocktails, and dinner was under 200 which is pretty good. Even better since i wasnt the one paying haha. Afterwards we went over to this martini type bar inside of Paris called Napoleans. They had this awesome dueling pianos show which was a lot of fun. It was definitely a nice change up from all the clubs like pure,lax. etc.. The guys put on an awesome show and they knew every song you could throw at them ranging from obscure metallica songs to billy joel. Highly recommend checking it out if you like fun.

New Years was a blast as well. Shawn had got us Fergie tickets at the Palazzo so after some dinner/a little predrinking that was our first stop. I actually like Fergie so it was a pretty fun time and she put on a great show. The concert ended around 11p.m. so we were in panic/rush mode to get down to fremont street to meet up with some friends and most importantly be down there before midnight. We both were pretty drunk at this point so we cabbed it downtown and luckily got there around 1130. I was on the main strip last year and Fremont new years blew it out of the water. The light show leading up to the countdown was really cool and it just had a lot better party feel/atmosphere compared to the main strip. After midnight we met up with a few friends for some drinks/drunken blackjack before shawn and i finally cabbed it home and capping off a great new years eve.

This is getting way too long and i have stuff to do so im going to wrap this up. Dont think i forgot about my europe trip summary. My computers with most of my pictures is still getting looked at so once i get that back i will put it up. Im either going to play live somewhere or online tonight im still undecided so check back for that later and im out.

Oh also my buddy and i went to the PORN convention this last saturday so ill tell you all about that and put up some pics of me and ron jeremy lol in the next post. later.

P.S.- Congrats to my buddy kevin aka "belowabove" on his 8th place finish in the pca at bahamas for 250k. Im sure hes pretty pissed he didnt go on to take down first but either way congrats on being a sick human being.

Alright im late by 5 days but still... Happy New Years! I hope all of you had a safe/fun time, i had a great time here in good ol Vegas. Ive been really lacking on the blog but thats all going to change now that its a new year. Man am i glad 2008 is over with..... It was by far my worst year in poker since starting out and im hoping to bounce back with my best year in 2009. I would definitely say the main problem in 2008 was discipline/work ethic. I just wasnt putting in the hours and when you combine that with running horrid it adds up to one big mess. Well im going to the Wynn to play for a while so check back later to see how that went and im out.

Congratulations to my buddy Jeff "ICuraRook" Bowski on having a pretty sick sunday yesterday. He chopped the 55/rebuys tourney for 25k then just an hour later he won another PCA Bahamas package for like 14k more. You sir are a sicko.

Sitting here back in good ole port huron wheres its absolutely FREEZING. It was 8, thats right i said 8 degrees last night and its currently at a high of about 18 at the moment, gross. I just got back into town last night after staying down in Detroit for 3 nights with the gf. Our plans got kinda jacked up so we missed the wings game so we just chilled in the room the first night. We went to fishbones (possibly the most popular/bigname restaurant in the D) and just had some drinks at a bar inside MGM. The last night we went to hockeytown for some drinks/dinner before heading to the wings game against the kings. We didnt have tickets so we just went there with the plan of buying them at hockeytown or scalp some down at the door but obviously we run good and some chick gave us 2 tickets for free, ship it. The good thing about the joe is that its pretty small so whatever seat you have its still good. We were up towards the top but we were around center ice so they worked out perfect. We couldnt have asked for a better game to see either. High scoring, close until the end with the wings trailing 4-3 with about 3 minutes left, and finally the wings tieing it up then taking the lead with about a minute left and eventually winning 6-4. I have some pretty good pictures from the game but of course they are on her camera so ill post a few when i get them. You will also finally get to see this mystery woman haha.

So now im back here in ptown until friday the 26th before i finally head back to vegas to see mr. jinx and finally sleep in my own bed! That might not seem like a big deal but its literally been over a month since ive been home and sleeping in different beds/locations like every other day is getting a bit tiring. Also i just cant wait to get back on a somewhat normal schedule. I dont think that is going to happen though until after new years since i still have xmas here, my birthday in vegas, and of course new years all coming up within the next week. Its going to be a great time but im pretty worn out from the past month and cait wait to bring in the new year. Im still uncertain as to what im going to be doing for my birthday on the 27th because i just found out that i will be in vegas instead of michigan. I kinda just wanna relax and not do much.... but at the same time part of me almost feels obligated to go out and do it up big just because its my bday. And for new years that is also still kinda up in the air. I have a buddy coming into town to stay at our place over new years but at the same time Shawn really wants me to go with her to see Fergie at the venetian so we'll see what happens. I really wouldnt mind just having a drink or two and chilling out.... BUT theres also that big devil sitting on my shoulder yelling at me to go out and get rediculous on both nights so i guess we'll see if i can fight the urges haha.

Obviously a ton has been going on since my last post so i really dont even know where to begin. I want to start writing up a summary of the trip but at the same time its kinda stupid because i dont have any of my pictures to include with it. My computer is still fucked up and best buy said they would have to send it out for like 3 weeks so i have to wait until i get back to vegas before i decide what i want to do. I would just buy a new one but its only a little over a year old and still in really good shape/up to date so thats not really an option. So i think im just going to go ahead and break down the trip by country and i will put up the pictures whenever i figure out what to do about my laptop. Unfortunately for you though this is getting way too long so i will start with part 1/italy tomorrow. So check back for the beginning of my trip summary through europe sometime tomorrow and im out.

Oh and i will be sending out the 10 dollars to the 5 people from last week in a few minutes. Merry Christmas you bastards.......jk haha.

Live from spain....

well as i told you in my last post my laptop is fucked so im coming to you live from our hotel lobby in barcelona haha. Its about midnight here, raining like it has been the whole time we´ve been here, and we´re pretty much just taking it easy tonight. i wish we were heading home tomorrow but we have 1 more day in barcelona before flying home thursday back to good ol´ freezing cold michigan. Im not really sure whats up with my laptop but it looks like its in pretty critical condition. The screen is like totally jacked up so it displays everything like 3 times and on top of that windows wont even load!!!! I have no clue what happened either, it was working fine the whole time then we get to barcelona and its like i have some complete junker now. On top of that my bank really screwed me over by not transfering money into my checking account so ive pretty much had to borrow money from my buddy the whole time which is horrible. I never borrow money and i absolutely hate having to borrow money because it just makes it feel like im in debt and cant really do/spend it the way that i want. Luckily hes been really cool about it as the tab has grown to a pretty rediculously high number haha, thanks dan.

Other than the few problems stated above and the hard time using the phone everything has gone really smooth. Im pretty impressed with the way that we have kinda mastered the ins- and- outs of the way things work over here in a little under only 3 weeks. The first few days were pretty intimidating but now i feel like im just on vacation anywhere and kinda know my way around everything. I do plan on writing up a much more detailed trip report but obviously dont have the time to do so here in the lobby. Another thing that sucks about my computer being down is that im not going to be able to get all of my pictures from the computer until its fixed, theres a ton of pictures too. Hopefully they can fix it but i have a bad feeling its in pretty bad shape, we´ll see. I get home thursday night and finally get to lay back and relax...... for a whole 1 night haha. Im getting home thursday then staying down at the renaissance center in detroit for 3 nights with my gf, im pretty excited and cant wait to see her. Also i will get to see my first redwings game of the season so im pretty pumped about that as well.

The trip has been absolutely amazing and really has opened my eyes. Ive done a decent amount of traveling i guess but will be taking big trips like this once a year for now on. Im not positive on where the next destination will be for sure but we´ve got a couple really cool places in mind. Alright well this is getting long enough so check back like friday for some more updates and im out.

Well i dont really know where to begin since my last post. Unfortunately this is going to be super short since im on my friends computer. Somehow my computer is totally fucked and wont work so ive pretty much been screwed there for the past 3 or 4 days. We went to the barcelona vs. real madrid game last night and it was sick. Our seats were literally on the field but ill put pictures up and stuff when i get home. Alright well ill be back thursday so check to see whats up and im out. Well its 11:30 a.m. and im reporting live to you from Amsterdam! We are laying around dead in the hotel room, we just got into town yesterday so you can only imagine what kind of chaos ensued last night. Sorry for the lack of updates but its been a real pain in the ass getting the internet over here. None of the hotels have had free wireless and get this they charge your 20 euros A DAY to use their internet. I mean i could see like 10 or something but 20 (about 25 u.s.) to use the internetz is a bit rediculous in my opinion. So being the nit that i am i have only bought it a couple days. Theres been so much going on since my last post and since ive been over here across the pond i really dont even know where to begin. I dont really feel like posting at all but i know if i wait until i get home that i will forget a ton of stuff. I guess ill just break things down into countries so here we go....

Alright well i wrote this paragraph above about an hour ago with the intentions of writing up a trip summary but got side tracked so i guess ill try and do it later. Im sure ill be a little under the influence so it will be much more entertaining for you anyways lol. Today we are about to head over to Anne Franks house, check out the van gogh musuem, and then start the gong show all over again haha. Some reason its taking forever to load up so u will just have to wait until later, check back later and im out.

Well its finally here, i fly out of mccarran tonight to start my month of adventure. Its currently quarter til 2 in the afternoon and my flight is scheduled to leave at 10:50. Obviously i havent did a single thing to get ready haha. I still have to pack, shop, make a few calls, go to the court to take care of a ticket, get litter, clean up my room, and try not to forget anything. All of this while my brain feels like mush after staying out drinking til about 5 this morning, Warning! Im a professional, dont try this at home kids haha. This is by far the longest im going to be away from vegas since moving out here. Its going to be a great time but im pretty sure once the trip starts winding down towards the end of december im going to be dying to get back out here. Obviously i had to do it up pretty big the past 3 nights to kind of go out with a bang since i wont be here for a while. Friday night my gf took me out for a really really fun night. We started off with reservations at Benihanna http://www.lvhilton.com/dining/benihana.shtml which may or may not been the greatest meal ive ever had. Ive never been here before but it was amazing, im still undecided whether or not it tops the Kobe beef at Craft steak in the mgm which was currently the best meal ive ever had. Either way if you havent been i strongly suggest it. For those who arent too sure what the place is its a japanese steakhouse deal where they bring everything out and cook it at your table while tossing peices of meat all over the place in the air. After dinner and about 490934 sake shots we had tickets to this comedy club show at the Riviera. The Riviera is pretty grimey but it was right across the street from where dinner was so it worked out perfect. The show was alright for the price. We missed the first act, the 2nd act guy was hilarious and killed it, then they brought out the headliner who was an absolute HACK. I guess it just kind of depends on what time of humor you like. I loved the second guy because he did a lot of dry and raunchy humor where as the headliner was more of a in your face/carrot top type guy with props and very obvious jokes. After the show we walked over to the peppermill to continue to get our drink on. The peppermill http://www.peppermilllasvegas.com/lounge/ is this really chill place that actually has like a fire inside that you can sit around and drink at. My friend described the place best as saying " the interior design look is- it looks like a what a pimps bedroom would look like if he threw up in it haha. We stayed here til around 4 or 5 before finally calling it a night.

Saturday i was still feeling pretty rough when i woke up which wasnt good because i had to do it all over again starting at 5p.m., ugghhhh. A group of us had tickets to go see Jerry Seinfeld do his stand up at Caesars at 730. We decided to all grab some dinner/drinks before hand at this place called Sea Blue http://www.mgmgrand.com/dining/seablue-mediterranean-restaurant.aspx inside of the mgm. It was more of a seafood place which im not really a fan of but the filet was really good and our buddy had a 400 voucher that he won at work so that always helps haha. The bill came out to around 700 between the 6 of us so we only had to pay 50 each at the end which was a pretty sick deal. Unfortunately Texas Tech was getting slaughtered on the tv right next to our table so that kind of sucked since we wouldve won like 650 or soemthing if they couldve covered. Our seats in the seinfeld show were pretty sick, we were dead center about 100 feet away. His stand up was pretty funny but seemed to go on and on towards the end. After the show got out we stood around the bar by the sportsbook hammering down drinks/shots until we decided what to do next. Of course when you get a group of poker players together drinking the night always seems to gravitate towards the strip club. So i collected my 200 bucks from betting on the sj/washington game (brag post) while we were in the show and we decided to head to penthouse http://www.penthouselv.com/ which has this rediculously almost too good to be true deal of 25 dollars all you can drink haha. Thats just absurd.

Last night was supposed to be a take it easy/early night which obviously ended up in doing jaigerbombs til 4 in the morning. We (gf) went to buffalo wild wings to just grab a few cocktails and some food until the subject of bowling came up. We went bowling a few weeks earlier and she had beat me both games we bowled which was bullshit because i could barely walk let alone bowl at this point but thats another story. The bartender at bdubs told us they had 1 games/ 1 dollar beers after midnight at the south point, ship it. So we decided to head down there and give myself a shot to redeem my manhood haha. Unfortunately for her i was a little more sober this time and i won all 4 games. I couldnt believe how packed they were at like 3 am. It was a pretty fun time even though for 1 dollar games/beers i ended up running up like a 80 dollar tab haha, damn you jaigermeister.

Alright well this is getting crazy long and i have a ton of stuff to do so im going to wrap this up. It hasnt technically been a full week since my last post but ill ship the 10 to you guys anyways for me even letting it get close to a week. I still have a ton of hands from plo over the past week i planned on putting up but ill do it later. Im sure ill have some time in the airport later tonight so maybe ill put them up then. Busy Month Ahead....

Sorry i know its been a while since my last post but ive had a lot of stuff going and im pretty lazy so that doesnt help either haha. Its like 9 in the morning and i cant sleep so i figured im well over due for an update so here i am. Like the title of this post says Im going to have a pretty busy/hectic/SUPER FUN month ahead of me. Here is a rough schedule of my upcoming plans-

November 24- December 1) Home to Michigan for thanksgiving

Pretty self explanatory i guess. Back home to good ole' meeeechigan to see friends and family for thanksgiving that i havent seen in a while before heading out on the 1st.

December 1-17) Traveling around Europe (awesome)

Here is a rough sketch of what our trip is going to look like-

We fly out of Detroit on the afternoon of the 1st and land in Rome, Italy on the 2nd. We are staying here until the 5th because I've heard from quite a few people that there is tons of stuff to see/do here, (wine,italian girls, the mafia, (insert italian stereotype here), etc...). Next we will travel up towards the Czech for a day(not really sure why other than the fact its kind of a middle point between italy and germany), im sure we'll find something to do..., Next we will probably stop in Germany for a day to maybe check out some beer and some of the old world war stuff(not sure what else there is to do there). After fleeing Germany we will make our way over to Amsterdam (probably for a few days lol) to sight see and really take part in some of the "cultural" activities their city has to offer. After a few days in amsterdam we will clear our heads with a stop in Brussels for a beer and some brats or whatever else there is to do there. After Brussels we will head to cowardly France to check out Paris for a few days and see how rude the french will be to us "ignorant americans." We will leave France and head down to Barcelona, Spain where will be spending the last week of our trip. We are going to the huge/superbowl esque soccer game between Barcelona vs. Real Madrid which should be an awesome time. The tickets were a bit pricey( 500 for a soccer game, i mean really? come on its soccer) but whatever im sure the experience alone is going to be well worth the price. And if not ill be betting a decent amount on the game to make up for it haha. Ive done a little research and it sounds like this game is like the superbowl where theres just 100k (stadium holds 100k) people partying all week long leading up to the game, fun fun. Well thats pretty much the summary of the trip. We are staying in hotels about half the time and hostiles the other half so I WILL be updating this when i get the chance to use the internet and put up tons of pictures along the way.

December 18-21) staying down at the Renaissance Center in detroit with my "friend"

Im not really sure what to call her so ill go with "good friend." We've been going out/hanging about everyday for the past month now and it just so happens she has to be in michigan for a wedding until December 15th. Instead of coming back to vegas shes going to wait until i get home so we can visit for a few days. It will also be pretty cool because believe it or not downtown detroit is actually a lot of fun (bars, restaurants, about every sporting event imaginable, casinos, the occasional murder(and by occasional i mean very often haha, sorry detroit i had to do it), etc..) but just gets such a bad wrap due to the city being in shambles. The redwings also play the sharks that night of the 18th which is perfect because ive been dieing to go to a wings game this season.

December 21-28 possibly 29th) Port Huron for christmas/my birthday

December 29th- ? ) Rounding out the trip in Vegas for new year's. Its going to be a pretty good month coming up and i cant wait to get it started.

Alright well this is getting way too long and im about falling asleep here on my laptop so time to end this. Im probably going to lay down for a while then head out and play some poker either at the wynn or venetian depending on what kind of mood im in. Poker has been going really well with me making a little under 10k in the past week or so but ill tell you all about that in the next post. I have a ton of hands to show you/talk to you about from the past week so ill probably update this tomorrow night. Seriously this time though i am going to start updating this on a much more frequent schedule then how its been lately. How about this? Im going to go ahead and assume that a good portion of you who look at this are saying "wow cant this idiot fold aces" but im still kind of unsure how i feel about this hand. Anyone whos played online cash games over the past few years knows who Leatherass is and that hes a pretty solid player/winner and a thinking player. When he reraises the turn i was thinking he either just has me on some sort of weak jack/mid pair so he can get me off it or he has like qq/kk/ maybe the other AA. I elect to just call and set the trap. He overbets the turn which is where i decided like 99% sure i have the best hand so i just call again and am getting it in on any river. He insta shoved the river which kind of suprised me but ive played with him a ton and know hes definitely capable of value shoving a hand like KK on this river. I called fairly quickly/confidently only to be shown the JJ, sick sick. Well its been a while so i guess i better update this thing. It seems like ive had a million things going on since last posting about a week ago. The past week has been kind of a hometown reunion which is always a good time to see friends you havent seen in forever. In addition to some friends out visiting we also have a friend living with us at the moment until he finds a place out here. So i guess you could say its been more of a week of partying rather than being busy but ill pretend like ive been getting a lot of stressful things accomplished haha. Laying in the pool, playing cards, drinking, getting bottles at clubs, and hanging out to the weeeeee hours of the morning can be pretty "stress"ful haha.

Poker has been going alright since my last post. Ive actually been playing a little online and am up like 3k or something since last post in very minimal time put in. Live poker has been pretty so so. I havent really put in a real live session since last posting but have managed to play like 3 or 4 days. I dont call them "real" sessions because in the last week ive gone to play 2/5 with my buddies from back home and we would just get wasted/do shots while playing before going out for the night. Needless to say the shots made for some pretty swingy sessions and some interesting hands. The last session i put in though was absolutely sick. I was getting cold decked and ran into so many set up hands it felt like i was playing online in a tournament. I havent had to make so many huge lay downs in a session like that in a while and i still ended up losing a little under 1k in a 500 max buy in game at the MGM. Although i think i did manage to drink close to 1k in alcohol so i guess it was worth it haha. This was kind of a funny hand since my buddy was dealing and it was literally like my 2nd hand at the table.

Hand- someone limps in early position, im in the cutoff with 10 8 off so i raise it up to 20, the small blind calls and limper calls. FLOP is 997 , checks around to me i bet out 35 and the sb thinks for like 2 seconds before min raising to 70 and the other guy folds. I wasnt too sure of what he had but i figured if he has a 9 and i hit then theres no way hes folding so i just call. The turn is a Q and he checks??? I really thought about betting here because now im thinking hes probably not checking a 9 but i check and decide to take the free river. River is what appears to be my money card of a J making the BOARD 997QJ. He now leads out for 80 and the way the hand played out im like 90% sure he doesnt have a fullhouse so i raise it up to 250. He thinks for like maybe 5 seconds total before calling and flipping up K10 off for a higher straight hahha. I mean how could i not put him on minraising that flop of 997 with K10 ??????? hahahah. I shouldve known that almost getting stacked on the first hand was going to be a sign of things to come but what can ya do.

I started writing up this blog like 3 hours ago and got distracted by the new chris rock special on hbo so im going to have to finish this up tomorrow as its getting pretty late. Yesterday was one of those days that make me realize how much i love this city. Theres just so much to do at all times i kinda take it for granted. Ive been waking up super early (like 10a.m) lately for some reason and im still not sure whether or not i like it. You sure can accomplish a lot during the day but at the same time it feels like the day just goes on forever. Im thinking by the time our friends get into town this weekend ill hopefully be able to return to my old sleep schedule ( 2-3pm to about 4/5 am)by the time they leave. A few friends from back home are coming into town so it should be pretty fun to say the least. After lounging in the pool for a few hours yesterday i decided i would head down to the wynn to win some money and predrink before having to pick up my buddy (d. lewis) from the airport at 9. Well things ended up only going half the way they were supposed to. By the time i left the wynn i accomplished my predrinking goal by slamming about 5 or 6 kettle/crans but unfortunately i was stuck 4 dollars, thats right i said 4 dollars haha. After picking him up we went dropped his shit off, did a few shots, and headed to Pure. Rick Ross was doing a show there so it was lined up all the way out the door... obviously we just walked right up like we owned the place and went right in. Its kinda nice having a best friend/roommate thats a host at LAX that can pretty much get us in anywhere for free. If it werent for him i dont think i would ever go to any of the clubs. They had a table/bottles close to the stage which was cool because i was actually kinda excited to see ricky ross. I dont listen to a lot of rap anymore but his last 2 cds have been really good and he is probably in my top 2 or 3 favorites. His entourage finally showed up around 1:30 im guessing and hit the stage and did 5 songs. I wish he wouldve did more but it wasnt a concert just an appearance so it was still pretty cool. Obviously Mike Tyson was there fattening up the place and creeping out the women. Everytime ive been to Pure hes been there lurking around, gross. After a few more drinks after the show we decided it was time to hit thee Rhino. Its been a few months since ive been there and when we walked in it all came back to me and i felt right at home again, haha not really but it was pretty cool. Chilled for a while, did some shots, got this girls digits, all in all it was a pretty fun night. Pretty funny story about the girl but this is getting way too long and i want to hop in the pool so ill tell u in the next post. Just another boring tuesday in paradise.....

Oh i almost forgot to tell you about the 3k misclick the other day at the wynn. Is it possible to misclick in live poker? apparently it is. It was pretty dead with only 2 2/5 games going but i drove all the way down there so i was going to play. I get seated at this table with about 1600 and its 6 handed. Within like the first 10 hands this hand comes up-

Hand- I have A5 of clubs and raise it up to 15 to go. Folds around to this lady in the small blind who calls and the bb folds. Heads up to the flop of A 7 A , a decent flop. She checks, i bet out 20 and she instantly just grabs a random stack and raises it 70 more. I just sat down but i just watched her bluff off a bunch of chips the hand before and could tell she wasn't that good to put it lightly. Anyways i just call. The turn is like a 2 or some nothing card and she instantly fires out like 120. Im about 99% she has nothing so again i just call and let her to continue to fire off her chips. The river is another 7, making the final board A A 7 7 2 . She again like without hesitation just goes all in on the river for like 1300 haha. I think for about 3 seconds how im going to karate chop the table in half if she has 77 but that just didnt make sense so i call. When i called i assumed at this point that i guess she must have an ace cuz as dumb as she is i cant see her bluffing off 1300 on the river with air..... So i call and she says "what do u got" im like an Ace obviously and she just mucks??????? hahaha. I heard her say later that she didnt realize i had so much money behind me but it was out in the open for everyone to see so who knows. She then later said how she had kings so i have no idea whether she thought she was bluffing or if she somehow thought she had the best hand?????? weird.

Anyways this is way too long and i need to get in the pool. We're going to play cards after and probably go out tonight for a repeat of last night. Either way check back tomorrow to see whats good and im out

Well its only been a little over a week since my last post but with so much going on it feels like its been months. Dont worry this isnt some lame post about the baseball wildcard race, its always sunny in philadelphia is back on and that makes me happy. Entourage is back on which is alright i guess but i really cant wait for the new season of curb to start, i thought it usually stared around the same time as entourage but i havent seen any ads on hbo for it.

Ive been putting in very limited time at the tables but thats about to change. Ive played now for the past 3 days and am starting to get that passion to play and to make some loot again. I think being semi successful in terms of making money at poker kind of ruined my work ethic. When i was starting out all i wanted to do was play 24/7 and make as much money as possible. But now that ive made/saved a decent amount for someone my age ive kinda fallen into this trap of i dont really need it so im not going to play which is not good. Ive only played a few hours here and there over the past 3 or 4 days but thats a hell of a lot more than ive been putting in over the past month. Example- i went from supernova status on stars and for this month im still at Bronze star which is pretty bad. I also fell into my trap of putting 100 on bodog just to mess around with and see what i can build it to. I put that 100 on about a week/half ago, ran it up to about 1500 just dicking around, lost like 1k of it betting sports, and it currently sits at 900. This is the third time ive done this on bodog, first time i ran 100 up to 6.5k in like 2 weeks before blowing it all in some drunken 5/10plo one night haha. Second time i put 150 on there, quickly ran it up to like 3.5k before losing most of it betting sports. Netting me a total loss of 250 on the dog although im currently at 900 so i guess im a 550 winner. I'll keep you updated on the play money bankroll and see how high i can get it. Im getting ready to head down to the venetian for some 2/5 / possible 5/10 so im ill leave you with a few random hands from the past couple days.

Played my first 2008 WCOOP http://www.pokerstars.com/wcoop/#schedule tournament today. The tournament started at 11:30 A.M. which is disgusting in the first place but the fact that i didnt get to bed til around 6 or 7 made it that much worse. Also i had the great idea to get up to get mcdonalds breakfast by 1030 so i really got about 2 hours of sleep. This was one of the tournaments i wanted to play most despite the fact i knew i would be dead tired all day. So after every hour we got our 5 minute break i would run downstairs and jump into the deep end of the pool just to keep me awake haha. I made a little under 500 which is pretty weak because after playing a little bit of cash games i ended up down like 100 or something haha. Not sure if im going to play in anymore of the wcoop's but we'll see. I want to play the 300 heads up and 500 pl on saturday but their on the weekend and its just so damn hard waking up by 11:30.Anyways im pretty dead right now but wanted to give you a quick update. Ill give a more lengthy update tomorrow including my upcoming trip to europe so check back for that and im out.

I was playing some 2/5 nl at the Wynn a few days ago when former nba "great" (notice the quotation marks around great ha) Chris Mills and Mekhi Phifer came and sat at my table. Normally this would be a good thing since mekhi bought in for like 2k and mills for a little over 200k (yeah i said 200k in a 2/5 game) but i had already been playing for like 7 or 8 hours and was pretty tired. It was pretty late and dead when they sat down but mekhi still had fans coming up like every 10 minutes or so to tell him what big fans they are, not so much for chris mills. I think mekhi had a decent buzz going because he was just super laid back just playing like tight abc poker and laughing at everything. Chris mills on the other hand was very loud and playing like every pot regardless of how much it was pre but i suprisingly he was actually a pretty decent player from what i saw. All in all it was a pretty fun table with them there and for some odd reason CM called everyone KatDaddy which was pretty funny because mekhi would giggle like a school girl everytime he said anything. Unfortunately i was super tired when they got there so i left the game stuck like a little under 300 which sucks but i was actually down like 1100 earlier in the day so it wasnt too bad. Obviously im still running what is becoming normal i guess, Horribly. Got it in with QQ vs. Ak for like a 900 pot obvious A on the flop. Then get it in with 57hh on a board of K57 against this clown with QQ for like a 1k pot, ill let u take a wild guess what the river was......... Queen. Pretty standard for me.

I was planning on waiting to update this tomorrow but im laying in bed and cant sleep so i figured i would write a little something up. I only got like 5-6 hours of sleep last night too so im not sure why im wide awake. Speaking of last night, it turned out to be a pretty adventurous tuesday night. We started off around 10 grabbing some food at this bar down the road called kopper keg. Which was supposed to be just kind of a relaxing night of grabbing some dinner and having a few drinks quickly escalated into a gong show. There was a pool table there so instead of playing for money we decided the loser had to buy shots after each game. Obviously i totally dominated winning 3 of 4 games and after the 4th jaigerbomb we headed over to meet up with some peoples at the good ol Dragonfly. We chilled here for a bit having a few more drinks and shots before heading over to the infamous Olympic Gardens. It was probably around 2 by the time we arrived and it was super dead but they let us in for free so we just decided to stay here. It was starting to get late so we decided to head out of here and head home but not before making a few pit stops haha. Im not sure how or why but we decided to stop at the Peppermill http://www.peppermilllasvegas.com/ for a scorpion race haha. A scorpion is their house drink which is pretty much a huge glass literally the size of a soccerball that is filled with like 8 shots and a bunch of fruit and juice. So after racing these down we decided to stop at penthouse since it is right on the way home haha. Also we get free admission and drinks so its kind of hard to pass up free drinks and naked girls when drunk. Anyways this is getting way too long so im going to attempt to get some shut eye. Im getting up pretty early (like 1) to get my vegas I.D., move some couches into our house that we are getting for free(thanks clay) and i also have to go apply for my passport. I am going to Spain in december but ill tell you all about it in tomorrows post, im out.

Long Overdue Update. (Part 1)

Im kind of pissed because i wanted to start with this sweet clip from the dodgers game but now i cant find the clip anywhere on youtube. Its pretty much the definition of ownage so rather than tell you about it and ruining it ill wait til tomorrow to ask my buddy where it is so i can put it up on here. I got back from california on Friday and it was an awesome trip. It was my first time going to cali and i can definitely see many more trips out there in the future. The first night we arrived in L.A. just in time to meet up with some peeps and head into the dodgers game to watch the warm ups/batting practice. It was pretty cool because we actually got to walk out onto the field. We hung out here for a bit before we went to our seats and began drinking heavily. Unfortunately we did no pre-drinking before the game so i think i spent a good 50-60 dollars on beers alone by the time the game was over. Although it did kind of even out since our tickets were pretty much free and were super sick seats. Our seats were the very front row in left field so we were pretty much breathing down manny's neck all night. Speaking of manny, they absolutely LOVE him there. It was pretty nuts, the crowd would literally go wild and cheer even if he just happened to look their way. We had a really fun time at the game and it ended up being a really good game with it ending by a play at the play in the bottom of the 9th to give the dodgers a 4-3 win.

The next night we headed to san diego and had an awesome time. We decided to hit up the Padres game to start off the night which was really fun. The stadium was great because there wasnt a bad seat in the place. Unfortunately we bought tickets for like 40 bucks which was a waste because we couldve just got some 7 dollar cheapos and just moved to anywhere we wanted. The brewers beat them down pretty bad like 8-1 or something i think which was nice since i had like 200 on the brew crew. Afterwords we hit up this place called the Waterfront where our buddy used to work. It had a really cool/chill vibe to it. There was a band playing and it was like half outside kinda and i love places like that, unfortunately there are like none in vegas since its 894092 degrees. Only thing about this place that i disliked was that it closed at 2a.m. , after living here in vegas its just so weird now going to places (everywhere but here) where things close at 2 since some nights we dont even go out til 2. After the bars were closing we still wanted to party so we hit up some strip club called platinum i think that was open til 4 or something. It mightve been the creepiest display of creepiness ive ever seen. The rules are obviously a little different than vegas so it was just a weird experience all around. There was like 4 girls in the entire place with like 60 guys, super creepy.

The last day kinda sucked because i had a prett intense hangover from the night before. We walked down to the mall which is out in the open with no roof and just looked around at some stuff. I was planning on buying some stuff but all i really wanted to do was get the hell out of there becasuse i felt like shit. I did however purchase a Jamba Juice for the first time and talk about a total scam. This place had people lined up around the corner waiting to buy this over priced hippie crap. I mean my drink was alright but for 4 dollars and some change no thanks. I have some pretty cool pictures from the beaches and stuff but obviously i somehow managed to forget my camera in my friends car so once i get it back ill put them up. Anyways this is just a little piece of the update but its getting super long so im going to call it a night. Im on like no sleep and have lost my desire to type so check back tomorrow for part deux of the update and im out.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the past couple weeks but ive just been super busy with all kinds of things. Things have been pretty hectic mainly due to us moving into our new place but we've been moved in for a week now so things are starting to get back to normal. Our new house is in henderson and is pretty sick. I could go on and on talking about it but i decided that im going to make like a cribs type video with my camcorder and put it up on here for you guys to see rather than hearing me babble about it. I had quite a bit of stuff to talk about but i just dont have the time at the moment. Its 3 a.m. and i have to wake up tomorrow at 11 am to head to L.A. and san diego for until friday. Ive never been to cali before so im pretty excited to see what all the fuss is about. We also have front row dodgers tickets for tomorrows/todays game so that will be pretty cool. We are in left field to so we'll be able to talk shit to manny ramirez even though i dont really have anything against him. Anyways i need to get some sleep for this trip so ill just leave you with a list of things to look forward to in my next post which should be friday.

Weekend Wrap up...

My plan going into this weekend was to lay low and play a bunch of poker and thats exactly what i did. Well i wouldnt exactly say a bunch but it felt good to get back on the tables and make a little bit of money. Friday night i went back to the wynn to play some more 2/5 and things went pretty shitty. Ive been on a some what normal sleep schedule since coming back from michigan so by the time i actually got down there to play it was like 10pm and after just a few hours i was feeling kinda tired, weird. The game was pretty soft but i couldnt get anything going and after about 3 hours of play i called it a night stuck around 600.

We got turned down once again on a house we were looking to move into and its really starting to get down to the last minute. Unfortunately the people that were in there before totally trashed it and they want to rent to families now. So after searching for houses during the day i decided to hit up red rock after to play some 2/5 mainly because i didnt feel like driving all the way down and dealing with the madness of the strip on the weekend. Red rock is a really nice casino and only like a 2 minute drive from our place but the game usually sucks and theres NEVER a 5/10 going. I got there around 8 or 9 and the session went pretty well. I think i left around 1 or 2 and was able to book a nice win of just under 1800, not bad for 2/5.

I woke up today really looking forward to burning/donating money in the sunday donkaments but our real estate lady called us with 3 more houses and since our lease is up in 5 days and we have nowhere to live yet we decided it might be a good idea to go look at them haha. They were all pretty nice located in the henderson area and she is supposed to let us know tomorrow which ones are available. Hopefully we can get this over with by tomorrow or tuesday so ill know for sure where we'll be living next week. Also my friend (c. moeller) is leaving michigan thursday to drive out here to live with us and it would be nice to let him know he has somewhere to live when he gets here haha. Although i wouldnt be opposed to setting up shop and getting a room in the I.P. for a month haha..... A little tip for all you vegas newbies- Ive stayed at the flamingo,wynn,harrahs,hooters,frontier(r.i.p),caesars,a few others, and NONE of them compare to THEE Imperial Palace.

Tonight after looking at a few more houses i decided to head back to red rock to play a little pokah. The game was super dead but i managed to pick up a set of 4s and take down a decent sized pot. Good thing to because other than this pot i dont think i won another hand in the 2-3 hours i was there. I started to feel my interest level/patience starting to quickly disappear so i decided to rack up and call it a night with a profit of around 750 or something. All in all its been going pretty well since coming back. Im up a little under 3k since coming back on tuesday and hopefully i can get things turned around with a little heater and forget about that nasty little downswing i was on. Anyways this is getting pretty long so check back tomorrow to see if we have somewhere to live in a week and how tomorrows poker went and im out.

P.S.- Dont think ive forgot about burning that fortune cookie fortune haha. Ive decided im going to wait until we get a new place and do it there for a fresh start. STAY TUNED for Pictures/possibly video of the sacrifice to come.......

Since aerosmith made this song like 89 years ago this was the closest thing to a music video i could find for this song. I think back in the saddle is a pretty fitting theme for this blog and how i feel about returning back to vegas from my 2 week vacation to michigan. Michigan was a blast but towards the end i was ready to get back to vegas and do work.

I signed in ready to make this post when i noticed that this was my 200th post.... It doesnt really seem like ive made that many pointless ramblings but apperantly i have so thats kinda cool i guess. I wish i could talk about how things are so much different since starting this blog with my 40k in 100 days goal but not much has. The only real change has been that i live in vegas now which i guess is kind of a major change but other than that things kind of are the same as that first post. Unless you are a die hard thats been reading my blog since day 1 (im sure theres none haha) I suggest going back and reading some of my early posts, kinda cool to look back and see exactly what i was doing/thinking at that point in my life.

I logged my first live session in what seems like years yesterday at the wynn. It felt kind of weird walking back in there because i went from playing there almost everyday to yesterday was my first time there in like 2 months. Everything/everyone was pretty much the same except the fact that the room was completely dead. There was only 2 tables of 2/5 no cap and only 1 table of 5/10 going. I decided to go with the 2/5 which i played for about 4-5 hours and was able to pick up a little over 700, finally a winning session. I still ran pretty shitty but was able to just grind out a few smallish pots that added up to a pretty solid first session, IM BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCKK, BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKK in the saddle again...
I think im about to 8 table 1-2 on stars for a bit to get some vpp points on stars so i can get back to Platinum status. I still need like 5k points but i think i should be able to reach that by the end of the month. Ill probably do that for a few hours then head down to the wynn again for some live pokers so check back later to see how that went and im out.

Well i was hoping being home would be a nice relaxing time without much poker but i was wrong. There really hasnt been much poker but ive sure managed to dump a pretty decent amount in very limited play. Since being home ive played for maybe 4 or 5 hours total and have managed to lose about 7k, fucking sick. Im really glad i dont know how to make those pokertracker graphs because mine would be a straight line down. In my defense about 5.5k of it was from coming home wasted and playing some drunken plo which was probably not the best idea haha. Ive been really good about not playing serious stakes when drunk but i started off just playing some 1/2 heads up against this total idiot who put me on tilt so i followed him to 5/10 and ran like dog shit like the past month now. Im not really sure what my next move is going to be pokerwise. I really dont feel like im playing bad but obviously something isnt going right. I have been running horribly but i cant really put all the blame on that. I might take like a week of just watching cardrunners videos, studying, and just try to clear my head and come back with a fresh start. I cant remember who's blog i was reading but they were talking about how they had too much time on their hands so they would play poker to just pass time instead of really wanting to play and i feel like that might be whats been going on lately. Hopefully after a tiny break i can get things back on track and quit lighting money on fire like the past month or so... This is in no way an "im busto" post haha which is probably what you are thinking reading this. Im still in great shape financially (bankroll management 101) but anytime you lose 20+k in a month it can mess with your mind a bit. aaahhhhhhhh the life of a poker player. STAY IN SCHOOL KIDS HAHA.

Also im not a very superstitious person at all but i swear since i got this fortune cookie fortune at the beginning of my downswing things have just gone awful. I kept it on my desk at home kind of as a joke but i think when i get back to vegas next week i will be lighting it on fire haha.

Other than the few hours of poker Michigan has been great. Its always fun to come home to see family/friends especially this time of year with the beautiful michigan weather. I know people talk about how shitty michigan weather is and for the most part thats true, but there's no better place to be in the summer. Just relaxing outside, bbqing, having some drinks, and hitting up the lake is just awesome. Its always a nice change of from the dress clothes/shoes scene of vegas to just being able to throw on some shorts and sandals and grab some beers. Im heading up to my 2nd favorite city Toronto with my dad on thursday and i cant wait. I really dont know what it is about that city but i just love it there and if i didnt love vegas so much i would strongly consider living there. Ill be back from there friday and hitting up a kid rock concert this weekend so ill try to put a post up sometime after that. Well im sitting here at the airport in vegas with about an hour and a half to kill so i figured i would donk it up in a few sit n gos and finish my post from yesterday. At least i thought i was, I just registered for a 120 6 handed sit n go and its really choppy for some reason so i think this will be the only one ill play. We've only played about 7 or 8 hands now but a few of the players seem to be totally retarded. Heres a funny hand that just went down as i was typing this.

Back to the blogging. I totally forgot to mention that we went to look at some houses yesterday and found a pretty sick place out in southern highlands. Our lease is for our apartment is up at the end of this month and we found what appears to be the perfect house. 2 years old, 4 bdr, 2700 sq ft., really nice gated community, and a pretty sick backyard with pool and hot tub. I really like the Summerlin area but its just kinda too far out there away from the strip and this place is about a 5 minute ride on the highway to the strip opposed to the 25 minutes it took from the apartment. The place is called royal highlands right by south point for anyone familiar with the vegas area.

The one thing that never gets old about traveling in and out mcCarren is overhearing all the people talk about all the money they lost. Such degenerates... I dont think ive ever heard anyone say that they won. I remember one time a guy next to me and i were talking and i had told him that i made like 4k while here and i literally thought he was going to have a heart attack. He just couldnt believe it and then obviously i had to sit there and talk about poker for the whole flight.

Well if you've been wondering where/what ive been doing since my last post i think the picture above pretty much sums it up. The last few weeks have been pretty hectic with a lot of people in town for the W.S.O.P. partying just about every night. Once you combine that with how bad ive been running its turned into a pretty expensive few weeks and equates to the picture shown above. There are a ton of things that have been going on that ive wanted to talk about but i have a lot to do before i fly home tomorrow so im going to give you the cliff notes. Ive dumped quite a bit of money over the past month or so and am really looking forward to taking a mini (week or so) vacation from Vegas. I dont really want to get into specific numbers but lets just say its over 5 figures, insert vomit haha. The really disappointing part of the mini downswing is that a good portion of the money has gone towards partying instead of poker. Which i guess you can look at in 2 different ways. 1) Ive always been really good with money so its nice to be able to spend it every once in a while on fun stuff or, 2) Im an idiot and have nothing to show for the past months festivities other than some pretty interesting stories..... I guess ill say its a combination of both 1 and 2 and hopefully once i reture from michigan, see friends and family, I can return and begin to conquer again.

Poker has continued to go pretty shitty over the past few weeks. It just seems like every time i get it all in, im always ahead and somehow always find a way to lose. I was planning on talking about some hands from the past few weeks but i know once i start ill ramble on here forever about the hands and i kind of want to keep this short. Instead of making this a huge poker post i will save that for when im in the airport tomorrow night. So if you are here specifically for the poker content check back in tomorrow night, the rest of this blog is going to be a brief recap of the past weeks fun. Hmmmmm i really dont even know where to begin.....

I guess ill start off with last monday nights bowling which kind of set the tone for the week. The pocketfives party was the next day on tuesday so a group of us decided to take it easy with some bowling at the gold coast. Obviously once the drinks started flowing the "easy" night quickly escalated to an all night/morning affair. There were a ton of prop bets which i think i broke about even on and was a pretty fun time. Once we started doing shots it was pretty much a gong show from there on out. In usual fashion once you get a large group of poker players together the night quickly shifted from the gold coast over to thee Rhino. Im trying to remember all i can from the night but am coming up with a blank. The last thing i remember is waking up in a hotel room at 5pm at palace station without the rhino girl i had came there with????? fun night imo.

The p5s party was the following day from 7-10 so i pretty much got a few hours of sleep before starting the night all over again. We showed up at hooters around 9 feeling like death but to my suprise once i had a couple drinks i was ready to go again. Unfortunately we missed doyle brunson and whoever else was there before we got there but the sleep was much more important. After the p5s party we had tables at PURE outside on the balcony. After going through about 15 bottles or so here it was now like 4 and everyone obviously headed to the the rhino again. I tried making it an early night(before 10 am) but obviously my buddy who ill keep anonymous (deals in LV) fell completely in love with a stripper and wouldnt let us leave haha, OWNED. A few funny things from the night, Jared superstar "wacokidd" hamby just lighting up a joint at our table at Pure like it was acceptable, unfortunately he got kicked out but somehow was back in within like a half hour haha, baller. Someone puking all over our table and himself, gross.

After another long night and some much needed sleep in a familiar setting i woke up around 9pm for the Cardrunners party at the Rio. I met up with a few people and we headed over to Shannigans or something like that where the party was being held at. Unfortunately i found the party to be pretty lame. There was free booze and stuff but everyone was playing beer pong which i was in no shape to play. I think i stayed here til about 1 or 2 before meeting up and heading over to treasures where our buddy chaz had the hook up. We stayed here until about 5 i think before hitting up some breakfast at the Rio and calling it a night.

After 3 very long nights i was happy to just relax and maybe play some poker thursday night, Wrong. I ended up meeting up with my buddy chris(sweetness) at this bar down the road and before you know it a few drinks turned into many drinks. Which i didnt really mind because it was cheap and i was having a good time just shooting some pool and it was a nice change from the strip club that we always end up at. Sure enough i get a text from kevin"belowabove" saying he just busted from the main event meet us at the Rhino...... sure. So chris and i head over there around 2 or something to meet up with him but not before something pretty funny on the way happened. We pull up at this light and look over to the right where there is this girl who just looks hammered so jokingly we put the window down and tell her to follow us. Sure enough she rips over behind us and is now following us to the rhino haha. Somehow we got lost by the rhino so we were driving around for like a half hour before we finally get there and sure enough she is right behind us the whole way. Unfortunately she looked decent in the car but was a major let down once we got to see her upclose, beer goggles werent in full effect yet. Anyways we help her finish her drink she has which is literally a 7-11 cup full of straight vodka and we start to head into the rhino with her. She tells us her friends ditched her, shes lost, blah blah blah, and she cant wait to come into the strip club with us. Obviously we get up by the door and she tells us she lost her i.d. So we pretty much just tell her she can probably get in(we know theres no way in hell shes getting in without i.d.) and just plan on ditching her at the door which we do. We meet up with Kevin and a few of his friends and continue to drink here til probably like 6 or 7.
So were heading out to get a cab when i look at my car and notice what looks like a note on the windshield. We're immediately thinking damnit this crazy drunk that we ditched did something to my car or somethings up. The note goes something like this " Sorry guys but i didnt feel like waiting for you outside. Im going back to my hotel give me a call later if you want to hang out" hahahaaha. Obviously we immediately call her and she tells us shes driving back to arizona? but is coming back this weekend and wants to hang out haha. weird.

I tried keeping this short by leaving out a lot of stuff but its still getting super long. So im going to finish this up and continue with the rest of the stories tomorrow at the airport. My flights at 9 so check back tomorrow night to finish up on this and im out.

My Head Hurts.....

Its been a few days since last bloggin so I figured while im laying around hungover i might as well update this thing. I guess old age is finally starting to kick in because i just cant drink anymore like i used to. Dont get me wrong i probably drank enough beer/liquor/ tons of shots last night to get 3 or 4 normal people drunk but its the day after that gets me. Its almost like if i plan on going out and doing quite a bit of drinking my entire next day is shot. Its a little past 1a.m. right now and the only thing ive accomplished today has been watching tv and im just now starting to feel normal.

Last night it was a friends(clay) birthday so we went out and did a tiny bit of celebrating. The night started out with everyone meeting up at Dragonfly around 1030 for a little food and some serious pre drinking. By the time everyone showed up we had a pretty decent group of about 25 to 30 people and a pretty impressive line up of poker minds. There was belowabove, apestyles,kush, wretchy, acerunner, wein, amak,pokerjamers, myself, and some others that im sure im forgetting about. We chilled here drinking/ doing many shots until about 3 (i think) before we were supposed to stick to our original plan and go play beer pong at O'Shea's. Obviously once you get a large group of poker players together the night always seems to end at thee Rhino and instead of beer pong we all headed over to rhino. The drinking carried on here until about 8 this morning before we finally climbed into a cab and called it a night. It just doesnt seem right if you leave the rhino before the sun comes out and thats exactly how the night ended and with the wallet being a little lighter.

Poker has been going pretty well since my last time posting. Ive actually put in a lot of play since last post and had a bunch of winning sessions going on until it came to a screaching hault at the rio on tuesday where i lost about 2k. Other than that session though things have been going well i guess and was able to bring home about 4k or something this week. It wouldve been nice if i didnt drop that 2k but it was all pretty much from 2 hands that i feel i played well but just didnt go my way. Im getting super tired so ill tell you about the 3k pot tomorrow as i dont feel like explaining it now.

On a more serious note a good friend (d. lewis) from back home got in a really bad car accident today so i really hope everythings okay. Im not a very religious person but i will certainly say a prayer tonight for him and his family.

I planned on putting together this long/lengthy update together but im not in the mood at all to blog. So im going to try and keep this kind of short. We'll start off by my amazement at how well the "Big" name pros are completely OWNING the W.S.O.P. this year. Its really pretty nuts with the fields only getting bigger that every bracelet is being won by a whos who of poker players. We're just about half way through the series and Nenad Medic, David Singer, Erick Lindgren, Mike Matusow,Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Kenny Tran, Max Pescatori, and im sure some others have all already shipped bracelets this year. Proving that i guess the "Live" pros do know a thing or two about playing poker and the "online" donks arent taking over the world. It hasnt been total "live" domination with OMGClayAiken(phil galfond) and Dario Minieri shipping bracelets but the live players are definitely having a major year. Obligatory picture of Dario and his cool ( and by cool i mean gay haha) scarf.

The word on the streets is that their are tons of prop bets on winning bracelets including mr. Ivey (aka God) betting everyone at 1.8 to 1 that he will win one for what im sure is a stupidly large sum of money. Which reminds me of these video clips on Pokerroad.com called "the life of ivey" which is kind of like a daily video diary of him doing random things. Some are pretty boring but theres some where he was stuck a million playing craps at wynn and other degen things like this which is awesome imo. Also rumor has it that he had 2 million......... thats right i said 2 MILLION dollars on the lakers the other night where they got stomped losing to the celtics by like 40 points, it doesnt get much more balla than that.

Poker has been going okay as of late i guess. Ive pretty much given up on the boredom of tournaments and have just been playing the cash games. Online play has been pretty so so. I did put together my longest online session of about 5 hours in a long time and was able to put together a nice profit of around 2.5k or something. I had a bunch of fun hands i wanted to put up here but of course PokerTracker is a piece of shit and keeps giving me errors when i try to use it. So now when i want to post a hand i have to save it while im playing which is super annoying and upload before i quit my session, gay. Yesterday i put in a few more hours 4 tabling the 5/10 and it was a super boring/lame session. Was completely card dead and grinded out a tiny profit of like 300 or something, which for 4 tabling 5/10 is like nothing but its much better than losing so ill take it. After the boring online session i headed to the Rio to check out the 5/10 games. I was actually super card dead there too but was able to book a nice little win of a little under 1.5k. I played for about 5 hours and there were only 2 significant pots i can think of.

Hand 1- 2 limpers utg, i have 56clubs in late position and with the limpers utg i just limp. blinds check and the flop comes down 5 7 8 with the 78 being clubs giving me an open ended straight flush draw, not a bad flop. Utg bets out 30, second limper utg calls, i make it 110, folds around to original better who flat calls, then the 2nd caller gos all-in for about 450 more. I decide to just shove because the original better had only like 900 and he folds. All in guy flopped the straight with 46 which is great for me because every out i thought i would have were still live. Obviously the turn brings the 9 of clubs giving me a straight flush, easy game.

Hand 2- This hand was actually pretty funny. I never like to chop but for some reason the button says ill let u 2 chop so im in the SB and without thinking ask the BB if he chops. He was some foreign dude who was totally clueless of what i was talking about so once the table explains to him what it means he goes" no we play." I hadnt looked at my cards yet but obviously was playing any 2 against this tard heads up but to my suprise i look down at a pretty nice AK of diamonds. He seemed pretty dead set on playing so i decide to limp with the intentions of raising but obviously after being all excited to play he checks behind. Flop comes down AKQ rainbow and i check he bets out 10 into the 20 and i just call. Turn is like a 9, i check again and he bets out 30 this time so i put in a pretty big raise for the size of the pot to 140 to hopefully make him think im full of shit. I mean really i cant have that big of a hand i LIMPED can i??? He SNAP calls saying i call whatever that is before im even done putting out my chips. River is a 4 so im thinking he must have like A10 and isnt folding so i bet out 240 and he calls fairly quickly, easy game. Obviously after the hand was over everyone at the table was laughing and giving him shit saying " see you shouldve chopped" blah blah blah.

I was planning on talking about the other nights drunken festivities and how i somehow ended up at the Wynn eating breakfast with this stripper from Rhino haha????? but this is getting way toooooooooo long so im done. If you watched any of the Spain vs Russia game today you got to hear the announcers yell GOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLLL quite often. The game ended with Spain dominating the russians 4-1 and making me a nice little profit of 1500 in the process. It wouldve been a pretty good day except i lost about that much playing 5/10 at the bellagio, gay. I wasnt exactly playing my best but i ran into a couple tough spots that i couldnt really get away from and 2 hands pretty much did me in for the day.

Hand 1- 1 limper utg i make it 45 in mid position with pockets tens, button calls as well as the BB. Flop comes out 10 9 6 rainbow, checks to me and i bet out 120 into the 180. BB calls as well as the utg limper calls pretty quick. Turn is a J checks to me i bet 300 which the bb like beats me into the pot but the 300 puts him all in and the utg limper thinks forever and calls too. River is a 3 which was meaningless and with the bb all in i know the utg limper has like qj so i bet a tiny 180 in hopes he'll make a crying call with his J but he folds. BB flopped the straight with 78off and the utg player said he did indeed have qj, rigged.

Hand 2- I raise from early position to 35 with 97clubs folds around and both of the blinds call. Flop comes great for me with it being 985 with two clubs giving me a straight/flush/straightflush draw. I bet out 60 into the 100 and the bb calls. Turn is a K of hearts he checks again and i bet out 200. He thinks for like 10 seconds and makes a tiny raise to 500 which makes me think he flopped a set or possibly the straight. I contemplated reraising because we were pretty deep but i was about 98% sure he wasnt going anywhere once he made that smallish raise so i just decide to be gay and call in hopes of hitting. River brings a A which obviously completely misses the millions of outs i had and now the BB checks to me???? I pondered the idea of betting like 620 or something on the river but he was definitely the type of player who didnt like to fold so i check behind and he rolls over 89 off for 2 pair, ugh. what can ya do....

Last night my friend nicks birthday and to celebrate his gf got a pretty baller suite at MGM. The suite was pretty nice with an upstairs/downstairs but the real sick part of it all was the balcony. It was an enormous balcony with a jacuzzi over looking the entire strip which was pretty cool. We ended up partying there til the weeeeeeee hours of this morning and im definitely feeling the after effects of it. We are meeting up at Dragonfly for some food/cocktails later and im still undecided on whether or not im going out tonight. A girl friend from back home is in town with some teachers til thursday and we have plans to meet up tonight but as of right now theres no way i feel like going out and repeating last night. I say that now but im sure once a few drinks start flowing ill come around........ Anyways check back tomorrow to see how things turned out and im out.

I couldnt really come up with any title for this short post so ill go with the ............ Played the venetian 550 deepstack tournament yesterday and busted out like 80th or something with it only paying the top 27 out of around 300 or so players, fun times. I really like the structure of these and now that they have made them even deeper stacked than originally planned i definitely will be playing some more of these. We started out with 15,000 chips !!!! The donkament started at noon and i didnt even show up til a little before 2 and i still had like 14k with blinds only 100/200, sick. Im glad we get a lot of play with them being deeper stacked but im more excited about the fact that i dont have to wake up super early at noon and can now stroll in around 2 and still have more than enough chips. The reason i put this video of Ivey straight owning this no namers soul is because this guy to my left was talking up Jamie Gold and about how hes the best bluffer in the game..... right.... Jamie Gold? come on now. I dont really think you can put a title on someone and call them the best bluffer but whenever i hear someone say anything about the greatest bluffs ever this bluff by Ivey immediately comes to mind, such a sicko. How do you 840942-bet a guy with air and then shove on him when hes put like 75% of his stack in, ivey is god.

Alright well i plan on getting up early and getting in a good session somewhere so im going to wrap this up. A buddy of mine (clay) who knows a thing or two about betting soccer has been on fire so far in the Euro Cup (4for 4 so far) and ive been able to ride the coattails of his heater to make a nice little profit of around 1k or so over the past few days. Which reminds me of my killer day at the black jack table the other day haha. I never play black jack or any table games cuz their all a scam but i couldnt just sit and watch so i decided to put a 100 in fully expecting to lose it, wrong. Went on a sick heater and made about 300 all while owning the bj dealers soul, ship it. 300 i know isnt exactly baller but its pretty nice to win when i pretty much went into it thinking im losing the 100 but itll still be fun to play. Also i might be the worst sit n go player ever. Played a 125 sit n go yesterday at caesars while we railed kevins (belowabove) gf in the caesars tournament and i managed to bubble out when i had half the chips in play 4 handed hahahaha, how is that even possible??? I did manage to win the 20 bounty on below while owning his soul so that was fun i guess..... hahaha i still have no clue how its even possible to bubble with the position i was in, i suck. Alright well tomorrow is going to be a long day/night because its a buddies bday who is having a party at some sick suite at MGM tomorrow night so that should be fun. Greatest Game Ever...

Its pretty hard for me to call a game that i lost 1500 bucks on the greatest game ever but it really was. Ive watched a lot of hockey games and seen a lot of amazing hockey games but i can honestly say that was the best game ive ever seen. It had everything. For a sport that has been really lacking fan appeal for some years now i really hope that game was a perfect showcase and will start to draw some more fans to the sport. I thought it would go 6 before the series started but i really wish they couldve closed it out at the Joe. The series is still OVER btw and i will only start to worry if they somehow lose tomorrow in pittsburgh. SHIP THE CUP.......

Today i put in a decent session for the first time since my last post. I know in my previous post i talked about how i wanted to play a bunch of donkaments this month but with my insomnia its going to be pretty hard to do. Okay, i dont really have insomnia but with my sleep schedule totally out of wack it makes it pretty hard to get up at like 11 to make it down to the strip by noon for tournaments. Today for example i wanted to go play in the venetian deepstack 330 at noon so i went to bed pretty early (2am) last night with the intentions of getting a somewhat decent nights sleep, WRONG. I tossed and turned in bed watching tv until around 7 this morning and there was no chance i was making it to any tourney at noon. Instead i got down to the bellagio around 5 or so for some 5/10 fun, i love the WSOP. The games i was in was filled with tournament retards which made for some pretty easy money and some pretty funny hands/explanations of some horrific plays. NO FOLD EM HOLD EM= Value city imo. I didnt really get tangled up in any big pots but was able to make a little under 1500 in around 5 hours or so. The big game was running 2 tables in bobbys room and there were a ton of big name players around the room, Doyle, eli elezra, tj degen cloutier, kenny tran, david benyamine, sammy farha as well as many others. Im not really the star struck type and ive seen all these guys around town as well as tons of real celebrities before so it wasnt a big deal until i saw thee Tom " DURRR" Dwan. For those not in the poker know he is pretty much the sickest online player killing 200/400 forever and is now crushing what seems like every live tournament he enters. Im not sure what games they were running in there but im sure there was some pretty sick action goin down.

Well tomorrow is game 6 so GO WINGS. Also its wednesday which im sure will include some dragonfly followed by god knows what... Im going to try and get some sleep so i can get in a session live or online before the game starts so check back to see how things go and im out.

The wings are 1 game away from winning the stanley cup( hockey) and its going to feel great watching them lift the cup tomorrow. The game is at 8est for anyone who cares about hockey and i plan on putting a nice little wager on the game. I already bet 800 on them to win the series before it started so i figure since the series is already over( obviously just jinxed myself and the wings) that ill bet 800 on tomorrows game, FREE money. Not sure whats up but i woke up today and felt like total shit. As soon as i awoke my whole body was aching for some reason and i seem to have a little bit of a soar throat. Ive been feeling pretty lousy all day but hopefully its just some 24 hour bug or something and will be gone when i wake up. The world series of poker just started a few days ago and ive been getting the itch to donk it up in some tournaments. The wsop events have really shitty structures so i think im going to stay clear of those ones and play some of the other ones in town. Caesars, Venetian, and the Golden Nugget are all offering deepstack tournaments ranging from 200 to 1k all month long so ill probably try to play as many of these as i can tolerate. Binions is also running their mini-world series which i went 1 for 1 in last year when i final tabled the only event i played last year. I think it was a 250 six handed tourney and ill probably play it again this year because there arent many tournaments that offer 6 handed events. I cant even remember the last tournament ive even played live or online but with all the world series buzz in town its given me the itch so we'll see how things go with that.

I was driving down to the strip earlier and thought i was going to get beaten up by some bikers haha. Its funny now but it wouldve sucked if they wouldve kicked my ass. Heres the story-
Theres this side street that runs from our apartment to almost all the way down to the strip so instead of taking the busy/crazy ( Vegas has the worst drivers ive ever seen) main roads i usually just cruise down this side street and avoid all the insanity. Anyways im cruising along going maybe 25-30 approaching a stop sign and these bikers are going about the same speed on the cross road. We are both going at a pace that if they kept going and i kept going it was timed out that we would just run into each other. They didnt have a stop sign but i do so i come up to the stop sign kind of fast i guess but totally see the sign ( i drive this road like everyday) and stop a little before the sign and these guys like slam on their brakes and stop in front of me. Apparently they thought that i didnt see the sign and wasnt going to stop even though i had pretty much stopped before they over dramatically slammed on their brakes and were flipping out. Their like literally 10 feet from my hood stopped in front of me yelling " theirs a fucking stop sign" "asshole" blah blah blah and it took them what seemed like an eternity to finally keep going and move out of the way. I mean these guys were no Hells Angels and more biker wannabes but it still wouldve sucked if they decided they wanted to come fight me cuz i probably wouldve just had to run them over and leave haha. Such over dramatic bikers........ They werent even on harleys either, weak sauce.

Another thing that i want to talk about thats always tilted me but even moreso the past couple of days is Chopping. Chopping is - say you are in the big blind and everyone folds so its just you and the small blind often times people will just "CHOP" instead of playing out the hand. Its up to the players whether or not you want to "chop" but for the most part the majority of people chop, keep in mind though its totally your choice. I prefer not to chop and play out the hand because a)chopping is stupid imo, b) heads up i will out play you, c) the 5/10 games are paying time games.
I guess where im going with this is i cant stand how people FREAK out when you say you prefer not to chop. A guy yesterday went nuts saying i always chop, its common courtesy, blah blah blah.... Then again today i told the guy i dont chop and he gets all bent out of shape complaining about i always chop even with aces and a bunch of other bullshit. Guess what buddy i dont chop so fucking get over it. Its just funny how people get so bent out of shape about people that dont chop and if you say you dont chop they literally dislike you because of it. Another thing about chopping that tilts me more than anything are the people that get all excited and worked up about chopping. It comes to them to chop and their all excited saying the generic donk lines like" i always chop", " I chop even if i have aces" and of course they do the stupid look at each others cards and get all excited if one of them has kj saying i had u crushed blah blah blah. It makes me literally want to bounce their heads off the table haha. Alright well this has turned into one big long rant about nothing so im going to wrap this up and call it a night. The motor city almost had the sweep yesterday but of course the underachieving Tigers lost 1-0 to the angels in extra innings. I wish the tigers wouldve won but it didnt really effect me too much as i bet BIG on the Red Wings and Pistons. I ended up making almost 2k by doing a team team parlay of the wings at -170 and the pistons at -270. I also had a few smallish bets of the pistons 2nd half, ship, and the red wings -1 1/2 goals at + 170(which IMO there is no better value for your money) ship. Not a bad day for sitting around hungover watching sports. Well i just wanted to throw a mini brag post in before heading to the bellagio to own souls. Go spurs (did i really just say Go Spurs haha) , i hate the spurs but for the first half (got them at -2.5) they will by my favorite team. Check back later to see how the day went and im out.

Im not sure if degeneracy is even a word but it sounds good so lets go with it. Yesterday i planned on trying to get a good poker session in but it just wasnt meant to be. First off i woke up pretty late (3ish i think) then took a while before finally getting myself ready and heading down to the bellagio for some 5/10. Well of course the lines for the 5/10 game were massive so instead i sweated the first half of the spurs/lakers game in which i had bet 300 on the spurs -2.5 for the first half, SHIP it. After finally getting my seat in the 5/10 game it was pretty much pointless because i had waited so long it was almost time for me to leave. I went to meet up with a buddy(clay/lvdealer) at In n Out burger for some dinner. Everyone raves about how In n Out is so good but up until yesterday i thought it actually sucked. There is one down the road from my place so i tried it like 2 or 3 months ago and had no idea what the big fuss was about because i thought it was horrible. Anyways i think it mustve just been the one by my house because i gave it a second try yesterday and it was pretty damn good.

After fattening it up at In' n Out we headed over to Kevins( pokersuperstar Belowabove) to celebrate his birthday with some beer pong and what not. We first got there and everyone was finishing up the sunday tournaments so started drinking and shot some pool for a bit. Funny thing i noticed yesterday about all poker players seems to be is that they are all good at pool. I dont know what it is but it just seems like every poker player i know is/was really good at pool, almost as if its in our genes. What started off as just some friendly doubles matches for fun quickly turned into 100 dollar games and really set the tone for the night. After we won below and clay decided to do some WII bowling for some loot. They started off at 100 a game which clay won, then double or nothing for 200, clay won, below wanted to get even so they made the third game for 500 haha. Luckily i was able to buy 200 worth of clays 500 and he ended up winning by about 8 pins or something, SHIP the easiest 200 ever ha. Everyone had a pretty good buzz going at this point and it was time for some beer pong. I havent played in a really long time but once the first couple of shots started to drop it all came back and we ended up winning the first 3 games i think. Now that i think about it we were playing for 20 bucks a game and i dont think we recieved any money for any of the games haha. Fun night.

Unfortunately im feeling the effects from last night today. I went to bed around 6 or something and woke up at 11 (gross) this morning and havent been able to fall back asleep. Its pretty much pointless now because the Red wings/Pistons games start in a little over an hour and i have a pretty decent amount of money on them..... GO DETROIT. Well thats about it i guess so check later and im out.

Yesterday was finally the big day of the game between Manchester United and Chelsea for the Championship. Let me just start off by saying it was an absolutely amazing game that eventually ended up with Man U winning in a shootout. It was probably the most exciting game that ive ever seen by far. Well maybe thats not true but the fact that it was such a close exciting game combined with me having a little under 1k riding on it made for some great excitement. I woke up pretty early (10 a.m.) to head over to MGM where a friend(clay/lvpokerdealer) had the skybox suite reserved above the sportsbook to watch the game. The sportsbook was completely packed with no seats for this game so it was pretty nice to have our own suite with recliners and drinks. In case you missed the game it was pretty much as exciting a game you will ever see. They went into the shootout and Ronaldo who is one of if not the top player in the world missed his shot in the shootout! Obviously once he missed it was pretty much over because its almost impossible for a goalie to make saves in these. So Chelsea makes all their shots and its down to their captain with the last shot to win the game....... and he kicks it off the crossbar!!!! Unbelievable. All he had to do was make that shot and it was over, instead it was all back to even. Man U scores, chelsea scores, man u scores again, and chelsea comes up and the goalie for man u made a sick save and MAN U wins. It was a very exciting game filled with us jumping around, yelling, sweating, and even me losing my voice for a while after the game. SHIP the monies. After the game was over we grabbed some lunch at hooters before i headed back home to take a nap before the nights celebration but not before stopping by red rock to place a few more bets on the lakers game.

The line was pretty tough at L.A. -7 so the only bets that i actually liked were the over/under on kobe bryants points at 31.5 so i took the under and owned kobes soul when he only scored 27, ship. The other bet i really liked was the over/under in the total number of 3 pointers made in the game at 14 which to me sounded rediculously high so i took the under and they only ended up making like 9 i think in the game,ship. I also put some money on the Red Wings to win the stanley cup which is pretty much free money, GO WINGS!!!

I also ended up totally killing it today on bodog betting the pistons game. I hit 5 out of 6 bets that i made during the course of the game for a nice win of around 7oo. Ive now ran my 180 deposit on bodog up to a little under 2k in a few weeks so maybe this time i wont be so lazy and actually withdraw the money instead of saying "fuck it" and just blowing it by being stupid.

Wings ticket-

In my last post i said that i was planning on going home to michigan for the weekend but theres been a change of plans. After yesterday it was pretty apparent that it was going to be close to impossible to get tickets to the wings games so i called in today and cancelled my flight. Im going home for a few weeks in July anyways so i figured ill just wait and i really felt like shit today from last nights excursion so i didnt really feel like packing and going through the whole airport headache. Which reminds me, DONT ever fly Spirit Airlines. Their customer support was absolutley horrible as it took me about 2 hours to finally get someone on the phone to cancel and another thing that really pisses me off is that they charge you 20 dollars to check your suitcase! Not an extra suitcase or an overweight suitcase but just any suitcase you want to take with you,gay.

Obviously we had to go out last night and do a little celebrating from the game so we met up at Dragonfly for some food and a lot of shots. It was John(chatter), clay,(lv) kevin(poker super star Belowabove), and another sick tournament player steve( gboro). This was my first time meeting gboro who had just got in town yesterday for the world series and was a real chill dude. We shot the shit at dfly and pounded drinks/shots til about 2 or so before heading over to thee Rhino. Other than the place being way too packed it was a pretty fun time and we chilled here drinking til around 6 or so before calling it a night. Well thats pretty much a recap of whats been going on since my last post so check back tomorrow to see whats up. I think im going to try and wake up pretty early(by 2) to get down to the bellagio or wynn for some 5/10 so check back to see how that went and im out.

Today was a pretty good day all around. The day started off with me winning almost 500 on the Red Wings and almost 800 on the Spurs who i had bet to win the series. I actually totally forgot i even placed the bet because it seems like the series started so long ago. Ive always hated the Spurs and TIMMMMMAAAAAYYYYY but their just a really good team and i wouldnt be suprised at all if they end up winning it all again. I know everyone including David Stern is probably begging for a Celtics vs. L.A. finals but i really think its going to end up being Detroit vs. San Antonio again. After the games finished up i decided to head back down to the Bellagio for some of the 5/10 stupidity. The games were pretty soft like usual and i was able to make a little over 1300 in about 3 hours or so. I just got back about an hour ago from bellagio and decided to hop in some 5/10 games on stars for a bit while i surf the net and was able to win a little over 1k in about 10 minutes haha. Im glad the wings were finally able to close out the Stars, i was getting pretty nervous after they lost that 5th game.. Also I had planned on going home to michigan to go to either game 1 or 2 of the Stanley cup but i couldnt really book a flight until the wings closed out the series and they announced when the games would be. The 2 home games at Joe Louis are Saturday/Monday night so i booked a flight home today and will be back home from Friday morning until Tuesday. Im really excited to go to the games and it will be nice to take a little break from vegas even if it is just for the weekend. The Pistons and Tigers are all playing home this weekend as well so hopefully i can get to one of those games too but we'll see...

This weekend was so so i guess because i only went out 1 night on Friday. Actually it was a really fun weekend but i guess i just consider it so so because i only went out 1 night instead of 2. Honestly though i cant really do the back to back nights o partying anymore because i usually do it up so big the night before im just completely dead the following day. We started off doing some pre drinking on the roof top of NYNY then headed over to this new locals club called BLUE MARTINI http://www.bluemartinilounge.com/. Ive heard quite a few people talking up this place and it didnt disappoint at all. Its a huge bar/club with tons of good looking girls and an outside patio which is what im all about. The drinks were pretty stiff at 10 bucks each but our buddy got this like credit card from the owner or something so everything was 50% off the whole night, not bad. I think we stayed here til around 3 or so before everyone decided to head over to this after hours club called Seamless http://www.seamlessclub.com/ . This place is really cool because its like a club/bar but there are strippers there haha. Its cool because its more of a cool chill spot until you see a naked chick walk by and you remember that its a strip club and not just a regular lounge. We had a few drinks here before our buddy said we should go over to scores http://www.lvscores.com/index.php where his girlfriend works (cocktail waitress) and was going to give us free drinks for the night. Well at this point it was literally already sunny out by the time we got there haha so we went in for a drink before finally heading home and calling it a morning...

Unfortunately i was already down 3,000 hahaha. I played the longest live session i have played in a long time of about 9 hours and it was a pretty wild day. Im calling it a pretty wild day because i had some pretty big swings for playing 5/10 and even though i lost 300 i really feel like i won. I started off at the wynn where the game was decent but after all was said and done i was down about 1200. There was this idiot asian guy who kept going all in for like 5k into like 100 dollar pots haha. I was just praying that i would be lucky enough to pick something up against him but no luck. I did however get into a pretty interesting pot with him...

Hand- Theres a straddle so it folds to me in middle position with AJ of spades and i make it 60 to go. Folds all the way around to the wild asian guy who calls and the BB calls.

Flop- K 4 2 with 2 spades

asian dude makes a small bet of 60, bb folds, and i reraise it up to 220 total, HE SNAP CALLS.

Turn brings a 5 (non spade) so i now have the nut flush draw with a straight draw. Asian dude checks to me and i bet out 410 and he INSTA calls, like he literally almost beat me into the pot when i bet. So the river comes down a 3 (non spade) making the board......

Final Board- K 2 3 4 5

I obviously missed my flush like usual but make the straight and as soon as the 3 comes out the asian dude SHOVES ALL IN, sick. He has like 5k or something covering me. Im sitting with about 2500 more on the river so i decide to throw up in my mouth a little bit before finally folding. I know it sounds like a pretty easy fold but i just couldnt put him on any kind of hand that would have a 6 in it. Wrong, after i fold he shows K 6 of spades...... Wouldve been nice to have a spade come off on the river cuz i know he wouldve shoved but instead i LOSE.

After a few hours the game started to get pretty shitty so i decided to leave the Wynn stuck around 1200 and head over to the Bellagio. I absolutely hate the bellagio poker room but the games have been pretty good/super soft lately so ive been going there quite a bit. This was really where the rollercoaster began. I was already down 1200 from the wynn and within maybe 20 minutes of sitting im back to even when i hit a set of 2's against some dudes KK and stacked him because no one can fold anything in the bellagio games. After about an hour or hour and a half im up almost 1k before shit hits the fan. I went from up around 1k to down almost 3k in the matter of about 3 hours! Those are some huge swings for that game and that short period of time but i just kept running into hands i couldnt really get away from. Set over set, K high flush vs A high flush, getting drawn out on a ton, and me bluffing off a little over 1,000 with 6 high haha. I could feel myself starting to tilt a bit but instead of just leaving and calling it a day i just took like a 5 minute break to cool down. I guess ill share the 6 high bluff before i go onto how i started steamrolling my way back to actually back up a few hundred.

The Bluff- I had been very active at the table but it was great because i would raise a lot of hands but no one would reraise me or really show any kind of resistance at all so i was basically dictating (i think thats a word)all the action.

I pick up 56 of clubs utg and come in for my standard raise to 35 and get 3 callers.

The FLOP- J 7 4 (rainbow) great flop giving me an open ended straight

I thought about going for a check raise but instead decided to lead out for 100 and get 2 callers. These arent your regular 2 callers though because these 2 players were in like every pot and calling down with anything. The TURN is a 4 making the board J 7 44 which i feel is a pretty card to bet with so i make it 280 and the this old donk calls and the other idiot reluctantly folds.

the RIVER- is a Q making the final board J 7 44 Q leaving me with 6 high and in a tough spot

I really felt like he just had some shitty J so i fire another shot on the river of 480 and he only had around 700 total at this point. He thinks forever and i think im going to get away with it until he donks it up and says" well if you got it you got it, im all in" Which wasnt exactly music to my ears because i now had to fold to his 200 dollar raise into the close to 2k pot haha. After i muck he shows his QJ off haha, such retards.

Looking back i like the play but i just dont like the timing. I broke my number one rule in poker and that is DONT try to bluff old people. I really feel i get away with it a ton against anyone with a clue but i tried to bluff an old calling station donk and thats just impossible to do.

Shortly after this bluff i was stuck around 3k and almost decided to just go home because i could feel myself tilting but theres just no way i could leave that game no matter how bad i was playing. The game was so weak i knew it was only a matter of time before i would get things going as i had it all pretty much set up.
At this point i had a great image set up and was gettting called down with anything so as long as i could pick up some hands i could value bet all day which is what i did. I finally picked up a few hands that actually held up and was just getting paid off huge. I was able to go from down the 3k to up a few hundred before finally calling it a night down 300.

There was one more hand i wanted to talk about but im getting pretty tired so im going to give u a quick summary. I raise 99 in early position and get 3 callers including both blinds. Flop i 10 5 3 with 2 clubs. I lead out for 90 into the 140 pot and it folds all the way around to the BB who is thinking forever before calling. Turn is another 5 so he checks to me and i know he has some shitty 10 so i make it 210. He sits and thinks forever before finally calling and the river brings a 7 of clubs bringing the flush out there. He thinks for a while then bets out 150?? This guy was super tight and i thought forever about popping it up to like 600 but pussied out and decided to just shut down and fold. He then shows me his 10 7 haha, how horrible is that? He calls down with just the 10, the flush gets there, the board is paired so if i have an over pair he is beat and im never folding, and yet he leads for 150 hahahhhaha, such retards. I was pretty mad at myself afterwards, not because i lost the pot, but the fact that i think i backed out from raising it to 600 on the river because i was content with losing the 300 on the day and didnt want to lose more.... so i pretty much talked myself out of making what wouldve probalby taken the pot down but who knows he mightve called anyways........... Anyways im exhausted so im going to bed and check back tomorrow to see how the day went and im out.

Just got back from the Bellagio and obviously anything that could go wrong did. Well maybe im over exaggerating a tiny bit but this post is kind of just a way to blow off a little steam. The 5/10 game was playing as weak as usual and i drew a super weak/passive table but unfortunately a few river cards ended up making me a loser on the day. The game was pretty soft and actually fairly tight so im not really sure how i managed to have such a swingy session. I played for maybe 4 hours and went from up around 400, down 500, up around 500, to final ending the session stuck around 1300. Looking back there were only a few big pots so i guess i mustve been splashing around a bit more than i remember. Onto the 2 interesting hands from the sesh.

Hand 1- Everyone folds to me in late position so i raise it up to 35 with AJ, the button calls, the small blind calls, and the BB folds. The FLOP - J78 rainbow

SB checks, i elect to check for some pot control and the button also checks.
Turn is another jack making the board JJ78 with 2 spades

The SB leads out for a whopping 120 into the 100 dollar pot giving me the option of raising or getting super sneaky and just calling...... I flat call because i feel im so far ahead of him any raise is going to kill any action. and i called with the intention of raising any non scary river card. Now i know ur thinking JJ78 wtf are you just calling for on such a draw heavy board? Well as i just said i felt i was so far ahead there arent many cards other than a 9 or 10 that are going to be bad for me so i was raising any river other than a 9 or 10.

The River- is a non spade 10 making the board- J J 7 8 10

He thinks for like 10 seconds and checks? I really feel like not betting here is losing value from a lower J or a 78/pocket pair type hand so as thin as it might be i decide to bet out 220...... to my dismay he takes about 10 seconds before barely raising me back to 500 total, sick. I know hes really never raising anything less than a straight in this spot but i just felt the way the action went down my hand is so under represented that i have to pay it off. So i call only to see him show me his 89 off for the rivered straight and listen to him tell me how he was sure his 8 was good on the turn and his plan of calling any river bet even if he had missed the straight......... so at least my original plan wouldve worked but unfortunately i let him hit the straight and cost myself 500 on the river bet. blah

Hand - 2 Under the gun player makes it 40, guy in mid position calls, im on the button with AK off and decide to just call rather than raise and the BB also calls. 4 way action to the flop....

FLOP- A 7 8 2 diamonds ( the A and the 8 were diamonds)

Original raiser leads out for 100 into the 160 pot, mid guy folds to me, I decide to make a smallish looking raise like i might have a huge hand to 260 total and the BB folds. The original raiser thinks for maybe 5 seconds tops before shoving all in for 720 more after my 260. I had seen him overplay a few hands previously and was actually pretty confident in my hand so i CALL.

River- 9

He says "the nuts" and rolls over the J10 of diamonds for the rivered out straight, ugh.

Im in no way faulting his play because i wouldve probalby played it the same but it just sucks getting it in for a big pot and losing yet again to some turn or river bullshit. Lee jones can you please flip off my doomswitch??????

There hasnt been much else since last post to talk about so i guess ill just keep this strictly a poker post. Ive decided to play some PLO over the past few days (mostly 3/6 and 5/10 , 6 handed) and have had some pretty nice results in very limited play. Its funny because i actually play this almost retarded style and its been working quite well. I pretty much barely minraise almost every hand preflop then preceed to make smallish bets on the flop with air or huge hands. As stupid as this sounds it seems to actually anger people( actually had people in the chat boxes talking shit to me) and they start just trying to call me down with nothing or i get them to just stack off with weak holdings. Well im starting to get tired so ill leave you with some hands from the past few days and im out.

Its been almost a week since last posting so ill throw something together here. Lets see what have i been up to the past week........ not much at all. Ive probably had one of the most lazy weeks ive had in a long time and that saying a lot because im a pretty lazy person in general. Since like going out saturday night ive just been kinda laying low, playing a little poker, and not really doing anything productive. I was supposed to go to L.A. with some peeps on Tuesday night but i decided to pass at the last second. The plan was to drive up there very late on tuesday night, arrive in L.A. around 6-7 a.m., take a nap, go do sightseeing/whatever all day, go out all night then leave the following morning..... just sounded like way too much to cram into one day. Although my roommates just returned earlier today and now im kinda mad i didnt go but what can ya do... I will definitely be hitting up cali sometime in the future but i feel like by going there for the first time theres no way that 1 day is enough to take everything in.

I played a little poker this week but nothing really to write home about. Played the usual 5/10 breaking about even or maybe even down a bit im not too sure. The 25/50 game was looking really good the other day so i hopped in for about a half hour or so until all the tough regulars flooded the table so i called it quits after making around 4-500. I cant even remember any pots from the mini session so ill take the 500 i guess. I woke up yesterday just as the pistons game was about to start and saw that i really liked the over in the game (187) but there was no way that i could get down to the casino to bet it in time so i did something very very stupid.......... I decided to put 200 on Bodog. I guess its really not that stupid but last time i did this i ran my account up and instead of going through the hassle of cashing out i said fuck it and just ran it busto. Anyways i doubled up to 400 from the over in the pistons game and played a couple tables of .50/1 and 1/2 and have ran the account up to about 1k. I actually like it because its kind of fun being able to fuck around while im sitting around watching the games. Hopefully i can just go on some insane heater and be playing 25/50 soon but we'll see haha.

Well im starting to get pretty tired so im going to wrap this up, but not before talking about Roger Clemens.... I mean could things get any worse for this guy haha. I guess i shouldnt say that because just when i thought he was already totally fucked theres now all these women that keep coming out saying they had affairs with him haha. It really is more sad than funny but witht the way the whole thing has kind of turned into a circus of what will happen next its hard not to laugh. I dont think i can really remember someone who was such a dominating sports icon as he WAS, just kind of turn into a joke. He was such a well liked sure hall of famer and now his whole career/family has just been turned upside down. Im not even a roger clemens fan but the whole situation just seems to get worse by the day.... its become like an episode of jerry springer haha. Alright well im just starting to ramble about nothing now so im going to call it a night, later.

Since i haven't posted since last week i decided i would throw together a post of a few random things on my mind. First off i will start off by talking about the grand theft auto 4 game since i was cut off last time in the middle of my post. Its a pretty fun game so far i guess even though i haven't played it that much yet but i would say its definitely worth getting. I can already feel that its going to be one of those games that i play for like 2 days straight and then never want to play again. All in all though its a fun game but i would definitely say that Call of duty 4 is way better, I'm pretty biased though because i honestly think call of duty 4 is the best game I've ever played.

I guess ill throw together a quick poker discussion and finish off that 5/10 heads up story from the other day. As you might remember from my last post i was at red rock, the 2/5 game broke, and me and this older guy decided to play 5/10 heads up. The guy was a pretty cool dude who said he was just there blowing off steam since his real job is betting horses, talk about a stressful job that must be. Anyways he was a decent player but i felt i definitely had a huge advantage in any type of match against him. We ended up playing for about 3-4 hours and i managed to slowly milk about 1.5k on him before we decided to call it a night. I cant really think of any huge/interesting hands so i think it was more of me just slowly chipping him down. Flash Forward to Tuesday night and i go back to the redrock to try and get a 5/10 game going but of course it doesn't. I decide to play some 2/5 for a bit in hopes that the 5/10 will go but no one wanted to play, so I'm about to rack up and head out until the guy from the heads up match walks in and we go for round 2 of the heads up match. It went pretty bad. I don't think i was playing my best but he certainly ran hotter than hot for a heads up match. He was just hitting literally like every single flop and if not he would turn or river me every hand. After the match was over he told me that hes never seen such a rush of cards like that and he was getting hit with the deck the entire time. We played for about 3 hours before it was finally like 4 in the morning and we decided to call it with me being down around 700 or 800, which honestly would've been like 2k but i was able to get away from some big hands. While we were playing a kid around my age decides to hop in the game for about a half hour, no big deal right? Wrong. He was super aggressive and a pretty good player so something comes up about playing online and he tells me his name is " Tsarrast." Not really a big deal other than the fact that he plays the highest games online which are 300/600 nl haha. Overall though i say i held my own picking up probably around 4-500 from him in the short amount of time he was there. Unfortunately after he left the old guy pretty much steamrolled with his heater and i ended up losing around 800 on the night.

Lets see what else is there i want to talk about? Sunday we went out to celebrate a friends birthday with bottles at PURE http://www.purethenightclub.com/. We had comped bottles since half the people we were with including the birthday boy worked there and we had one of the best tables right next to the dance floor. I'm not sure what was up with that night but their was a lot of old people there for some reason and it wasn't all that busy but it was definitely still a good time. After the bottles were gone it was getting pretty dead in there 2 or 3 so we decided to head over to Tryst http://www.trystlasvegas.com/indexFlash.php over at the Wynn. If you come to Vegas Tryst is definitely a must do as far as clubs go. I'm not a huge club person but i would say that tryst is probably my favorite club of all out here. Its just really nice all around and with the weather being nice and the waterfall out there its just really sweet atmosphere. The fact that there are always tons of great looking girls/women there doesn't hurt either haha. Our original plan was just to have a drink or 2 since it was already kind of late and dieing down but somehow the shots started flowing and we didn't end up leaving til right before closing time.

Last night i decided to go out as well and am feeling the effects of it today. It was a friends bday again so we all met up at dragonfly for some great food, sake, and some some drinks. I wanted to post a link but for some reason they don't have a website???? I thought everyone had a website... weird. Its pretty much this smallish/nice sushi place that runs a happy hour from 10-2 am or something silly like that so you get great food, drinks, and shots for very cheap. After getting our drink on we decided that we needed to go see some naked women so we went over to this place http://www.ogvegas.com/ep/club.php called Olympic Gardens where we chilled to the weeeeeeeee hours. I felt pretty shitty today but all in all it was a pretty fun night.

Since my last post its been an awesome time to be a Detroit sports fan. We just had the tigers finally start playing good by sweeping the Yankees in 3 games, the Pistons who finally took care of business by advancing to the next round of the playoffs, and most impressively the Red Wings who just dominated the avalanche by sweeping them in 4 games to advance to the western conference finals. Its been a great week for Detroit teams and hopefully the pistons and red wings can both win championships, that would be really cool. Sports betting has also gone pretty well this week so ill finish up this post with a few pics from the past few days picks and I'm out.

I honestly cant believe how hyped this game is. I dont think theres ever been as much of an anticipated video game ever than gta4. Its all over the tv, the internet, and pretty much everywhere you look. Ive had the past few grand thefts and thought they were alright but i dont know about going all crazy for it. With that being said we're about to go to walmart at midnight and get it haha. Its weird because im not a huge gamer but i would say more of a binge gamer. I have a ps3,xbox360, and a wii which in total altogether they probably get used like 3 or 4 times a month. I go on these spurts where ill play a game for like 3 days straight and then get bored and not play any video games for like a month. Im just hoping this game lives up to all the hype and isnt collecting dust after a few days, we shall see i guess.

Wow that was a pretty long paragraph about video games sorry about that haha. Anyways i just wanted to make a quick post about what ive been up to the past few days and the weekend. Somehow in my last post i completely forgot to talk about my 5/10nl heads up match at Red Rock casino http://www.redrocklasvegas.com/index.php that i somehow got myself into Thursday night. I went there a little before 11 just to bet on a few games for friday and saw they had a short handed 2/5 game going so i decided to hop in for a few. When i sat it was playing 7 handed with a bunch of old donks and this douchebag who was around my age. I call him douchebag because as soon as i sit down i start raising quite a bit of hands and he says to me "I remember you and your stupid raises" haha. I thought this was pretty funny so i ask him where/how he knows me because ive never seen the kid in my life and he wouldnt tell me, wtf? He says something like" lets just say i remember playing with you and i dont want to tell you where from because i dont want to give off any information" , something stupid along those lines. I tell him it doesnt matter because i have no clue who you are and now im just going to raise more hahaha, i was in a gambling mood and the game was so soft i felt it was -EV to not be playing every pot. He didnt seem to think this was as funny as i did and preceeded to rack up his chips immediately and leave haha. Anyways after that we play 6 handed for about a half hour before everyone decides they dont want to play shorthanded anymore and they quit. I was trying to talk them into staying and playing 4 handed but no one wanted to except this old guy so we decided to play heads up.

Well you're probably wondering why im at home posting on a saturday night and the answer is i feel like shit. We went out last night to Hawaiian Tropics http://www.hawaiiantropiczone.com/about.asp inside of Planet Hollywood for a friends birthday and needless to say i had a "few" drinks and am feeling the effects today. It was the first time i had been to this place and i have to say it was pretty cool. We had tables/bottles which has kind of become the norm but what i liked the most about hawaiin tropics is they have an outside bar/patio area. I love places like this especially now with the weather being perfect, it just has a much better feel than being cooped up inside the dark/hot club. We didnt even get there until around 2 a.m. so i knew it was going to be a long night. There was probably 15-20 people with us so im not even sure how many bottles we went through but i just remember seeing them coming out just one after another. It started to get pretty dead in there around 4ish so we decided to move the party on over to Empire. Empire is this really cool after hours spot that plays some of the best techno ive ever heard and also has a really cool outside area, for some reason we never made it out there though.

After getting home some time this morning from empire i did what any normal person would do after a night of 89304 kettle crans and doing shots would do...... Fire up pokerstars and play some drunken 25/50nl haha. As you can see from the title "hello 9k" things went pretty well and i was able to book a nice win of around 9k, not bad considering the fact i dont remember much of it haha. I remember my original plan was to try and stay up until noon when the redwings game came on but couldnt make it and crashed sometime around 10 i believe. Ive been looking over some of the hands from last nights adventure and some of them are pretty bad haha. Well im starting to get pretty tired and i want to get up early to play some of the sunday donkaments so im going to wrap this up. Slump Buster.....

After reading that my life was over and it was time to find a new job(all from my fortune cookie) i decided to roll the dice and give this poker thing 1 more shot...... I played some 5/10 at the wynn yesterday and was able to book a nice win of almost 2k, hopefully this will get me out of my slump. Although i didnt really pick up many hands/pots i was able to take down around a 3k pot which felt good to be on the winning side of. I went down to the wynn tonight to play but the game wasnt that great and i honestly just wasnt feeling it so after about an hour i just decided to head home. Very quick summary of hand

Hand- i raise utg to 30 with qq and get 4 callers to the flop. Flop is 10 9 6 rainbow so i lead out for 90 and get 2 callers. Turn comes down a beautiful Q and i bet out 250 and get raised to 680. I pretend to be thinking when in reality im just trying to look like i have some hard decision with AA/KK. After the 680 raise he has like 900 left and i have him covered so i shove and he calls with 77 and i win a nice pot. What an easy game......

I already cashed the slips but i had another decent day betting sports. I had the tigers for 300 to win 360 which was a winner, I also had the spurs for 200 at -2 winner, and almost went 3 for 3 as i had the washington capitals but they lost in OT in what was a good game. Luckily the washington bet was for only 150 so overall on the day i came out with around 400 profit. Im waking up early tomorrow (at like 10 A.M. = super gross) to meet up with some peeps to watch the Barcelona vs. Manchester United game. Obviously i had to throw a little bet on it to make the game just a bit more interesting to watch so go Barcelona! This is such a bad beat its actually hilarious. So after i got done finally updating my blog a few days ago about what ive been up to and pretty much how ive been running bad/on a minor downswing i decided to grab some chinese food for dinner. The food was alright but on to the point that im getting at, Im done eating and onto the fortune cookie. I open up the cookie in hopes of getting some kind of lucky/nice fortune and to my suprise this is what i get- this is no joke i had to put this picture up because i just couldnt believe it haha.... talk about running bad haha.

I said in my last post that i planned on playing in the sunday tournaments but that didnt happen. I woke up to watch the red wings game who i bet on and just didnt feel like playing retard(tournament) poker. After the wings handled business i decided to head down to the bellagio to play some 5/10. Things started off like they have this whole month with me running horrible and me being stuck like around 1.5k in a quick period of time. It was at this point where all i wanted to do was rip the cards in half and just leave but the players were so bad i felt id have to be retarded to leave this game. I went to grab a quick bite to eat and cool down before coming back and dominating these clowns. I ended up getting back in the plus side and ended up the day with a nice profit of like 200 or something haha, ill take it. More importantly than getting even Im glad that i was able to keep my cool and keep playing my game even when things were/have been going bad. Hopefully this will turn things around and i can end the month on a positive note. Well i really only posted so i could show how bad ive been running with the fortune cookie haha so im going to wrap this up. Well as im sure you all have noticed(thats assuming people actually read this blog) that i havent updated in a long while since creating my goal for the month. Obviously being the lazy degen poker player that i am, i still havent started on the goal yet. I really wanted to get this goal underway but i just kept telling myself "ill just relax today and start tomorrow" which has led up to now. Im trying to think of what ive been up to the past few weeks since last posting but nothing to significant comes to mind. The only thing that really sticks out to me i guess is the fact that ive been losing a good amount of money. After losing like 3k on the carolina game then 1.5k on the memphis game i decided it was time to chill out on the sportsbetting. The money was all the profit i had made from the ncaa tourney leading up to those 2 games so i ended up even. It still kinda sucks knowing if carolina doesnt play their worst first half ever and memphis couldve hit 1 damn free throw to win the championship i wouldve been up almost 9k on the ncaa tourney instead of even but..... what can you do. Ive been doing fairly decent betting games lately but its just been a few hundred here and there, nothing crazy like the last to ncaa games.

Poker has been going pretty horrific like this whole month so far. I dont know what it is but i just cant seem to put together a winning session. Its sad to because ive been playing in some pretty weak games but its like the "fish" just seem to be on fire against me. Ive tried looking to see if im doing something wrong but i feel like ive been playing well and just running below expectation. Then on top of that it seems as though everytime i pick up a hand like kk i run into aa or if i have a set i run into a higher set, just a bunch crap like that the past few weeks that as a poker player make you want to scream....... haha not really but its been frustrating live and online.

As for the goal i really dont know what im going to do about it. I definately still want to do it but obviously its kind of too late for this month so ill have to think of something. Its been so long since posting and there are a million things i want to talk about but i just wanted to give you guys an update on whats been going on. Official Goal for April......

UPDATE - so i went and exchanged the scale and bought another one and sure enough this one is off even more than the first one. What a bunch of shit. So im not going back to that dump again until tomorrow so that means we'll have to to start tomorrow. check back for that.

Ive given some thought to the goal over night and have came up with the final details. Ive heard some mixed reviews on whether or not losing 15 pounds was doable/safe so i dont really want to set myself up for failure so i will be doing a 12&12 instead of the original 15. So with that said here is the official goal-

Goal- to win 12k only playing poker and to lose 12 pounds in the month of april.

For every pound that i come up short of the 12 i will donate 100 to some sort of charity.
If i accomplish this goal i will buy something nice for myself but i have no clue what yet.

I bought a digital scale so i could take pictures for proof of my progress but of course the thing is a total piece of shit. Since ive opened and used its given me about 12 different weights ranging from 268 down to 261(still very high but i was kinda suprised because i thought i weighed more) which is a pretty big range. So im about to try and return this junker and get one of the old school ones that arent digital. Anyways im about to head out but check back later because i will do the official weigh in haha and put the picture up so we can get this thing underway.

The 15 & 15, NEW GOAL!!!!!!

Its been a while since ive done a goal and ive really been slacking off on playing poker lately so i think this is the perfect time to come up with a goal for April. Ive given this some thought and the goal for april is going to be called the 15 and 15 goal. The 15 and 15 goal is pretty simple, my goal for the month of april will be to make 15k playing poker and to lose 15 pounds. I will be updating pretty much on a daily basis during april and hopefully will be able to accomplish both by the end of the month. Anyways this just came to me a few hours ago so im about to head out and get a few things that will be needed for this. Check back tomorrow for the official start to the goal and the official guidelines to the goal. Im also thinking of adding an extra incentive for myself to really put the pressure on me to go through with this thing. Ideas im floating around right now are if i lose have some sort of giveaway to the readers(thats assuming people read this haha), possibly giving money to charity if i lose, and buying myself something nice if i accomplish this. Anyways the idea is pretty new so the ideas are flying around right now but check in tomorrow for the official start and good luck to me.

Im not really a north carolina fan but they are quickly becoming my favorite team haha. As you can see i bet pretty big on them again this game and they were able to make me some more money. Im not sure if i will be betting anymore games for the tourney but if i do i will keep you updated.

Ive only been back in town here in vegas since tuesday but it feels as though ive been here for like a month. I returned on Monday night kind of tired but decided i to go out for a while anyways, little did i know that the while would end up being until 7-8 in the morning. We went to dragonfly for a while to predrink then ended up heading over to the Rhino til the weeeeeee hours of the morning. Im not positive but i honestly think we mustve done at least like 15 shots over the course of the night which led to me and my wallet feeling pretty shitty the next day. I took a day off before going out again on thursday night. We once again went to dragonfly for some predrinking before heading over to LAX around 1 or so where my buddys friend had a table/bottle. There was some bikini contest http://www.luxor.com/nightlife/lax.aspx or something going on there that night so it was completely packed and had a huge line outside, luckily we were able to bypass all that nonsense and were able to get in after a few minutes. As we were heading in to the table Chuck"iceman" Liddell walked right by us, not sure why im telling you about this but its one of the things i remember while being there. There was also this dude there doing some magic tricks at the table that were pretty amazing to watch, it was like watching david blaine or something but i could see it with my own eyes instead on tv and im still pretty amazed at some of the stuff he did. We ended up staying here til probably 3 or so before it started to clear out kind of so obviously we went to the strip club http://www.penthouselv.com/ Penthouse. Im not really a huge strip club person but somehow ive found myself at them an unusually high amount lately which equates to some expensive nights. We chilled here for quite a while before finally heading home some time in the morning, but not before going to palace station to bet on thurs. N. carolina game. I was really feeling the effects the next day from the night before so just laid on the couch all day and watched nc make me the monies.

My buddy (d. lewis) was staying with us for the weekend so as much as i didnt really feel like going out i kind of had to. I picked him up from the airport and we headed straight to caesars to watch michigan state get completely beaten down by memphis. We continued to predrink here for a while until we met up some peeps and went to studio54http://www.mgmgrand.com/nightlife/studio-54.aspx where we had a table. We didnt get there until probably around 2 or a little later so it was kind of dead unfortunately. The 5 of us put the bottle down pretty quickly and since it was so dead we decided to get out of there and head to.................... where else but the strip club haha. My roommate( hodge) pulled some strings and was able to get us a free bottle at scores http://www.lvscores.com/index.php so we ended up chilling here until sometime in the morning before heading home but not before we headed to palace station again so i could bet on NC again haha. The tickets at the top are from this morning and it was great because the guy behind the counter was actually telling me Louisville was going to win and apparently i started talking some shit to him and almost wasnt allowed to place the bets. The great part was cashing the tickets later in the day from the same guy rick pitino superfan #1. Last night we ended up just playing some cards at mandalay bay and planned on just taking it easy but that didnt really work as we sat there and drank until sometime this morning. Anyways thats pretty much what ive been up to since coming back to vegas. I havent played barely any cards since like before i went back to michigan so im going to try and get in a lot of play this week. Im supposed to go out to Pure tonight but im pretty wiped out from the weekend and i really want to feel good tomorrow so i can play some poker, still undecided as i type this as to what im going to do so we'll see...... First off let me get my little brag post out of the way^^^^^^ as you can see in the picture above i did okay betting todays ncaa games making a little under 2k. The 1k bet on north carolina was by far the largest bet ive ever made but it just seemed like a gimme only being -4 point favorites in the first half. Also after todays wins im pretty much freerolling in all of the games tomorrow. Here are the games that i like tommorrow-

Alright enough with the degenerate section of this post and onto what ive been up to since last blogging. I went home to michigan for 10 days for easter/st. pattys day and man i have to say it was a long 10 days. It felt really good to get away from vegas for a while but 10 days in cold michigan had me glad to finally get back to nice and sunny vegas. It was really nice to see family and friends but i think next time i will only be going for 3-4 days instead of the 10 day thing. Its just kind of hard after living here in vegas where you can do whatever you want 24/7 to going home and having everything shutting down by 2. All in all though it was definately good to see family and friends so it was worth sticking out the cold weather and lack of entertainment. A few fun things i did while i was home. Went to the red wings game the day i got home which was something ive wanted to do all year and they won so it was a good time. St. pattys day didnt exactly go as planned because it was on a monday this year so everyone went out saturday instead. Unfortunately for me I drank a ton thursday night at the wings game, then drank a ton Friday night until about 4-5 in the morning, and by the time saturday rolled around the last thing i felt like doing was a bar crawl that started at noon. I felt like total shit but toughened it out and suprisingly made until about midnight before i finally decided to go home.

We also made a trip down to detroit to check out the new MGM http://www.mgmgranddetroit.com/ they built a few months ago. It was suprisingly a lot nicer than i thought it would be and really had the feel of a vegas casino with one exception, all the degenerate losers hanging around. A large amount of the players we played poker with there all knew each and were just kind of miserable to be around. Somehow we got suckered into eating at Wolfgang puck's restaurant( i say suckered because ive ate at wolfgangs here in vegas mgm and swore i would never eat in his restaurant again) but this time my meal was really really good so i guess my hate for wolfgang is over for now. We also decided to take a break from the table and head over to bazoukis (strip club) http://www.bouzoukiclub.net/ for a while and saw something really funny. Im sure by now you have heard on the news of the whole scandal involving mayor kilpatrik involving taking city money, cheating/lying underoath, and a stripper that was murdered at his house during a party, the whole thing is pretty rediculous. Anyways as we are leaving the strip club we see this cop pull over down the road and 2 strippers get into the back of his car and he drives off haha, gotta love good ol detroit. That pretty much is my trip to michigan in a quick summary.

Ive been back here in vegas now for about 4 days and its been a pretty long 4 days to say the least. Im still exhausted/dead from last nights activities and its going to take way too long to type up what ive been up to so far since being back so i will do it tomorrow. A friend of ours(D. Lewis) is coming into town this weekend and staying at our apt. so im going to wrap this up and get some shut eye for what will probably be a pretty long weekend. If you cant tell already by the title of this post things have been going good. The weather is really nice out, pokers going good, and ive just been having fun. If you didnt see my last post it showed how i came so close to winning a WSOP main event seat and ive came to the conclusion that im done playing tournaments on my pstars account. I really wish i had a way to check all my stats over all my tournaments on stars because its really rediculous and almost mathematically impossible to get it in as 80% favorite and lose everytime. Im not just saying this because of the wsop seat ive really felt this way for a good while now but have just been stupid enough to think that one day my Aces will finally hold up against random hands, nope im done. Funny how i play way more hands in cash games and take probably about 5% the amount of bad beats that i take playing just a few tournaments. So with that being said i would like to officially tell pokerstars tournaments FUCK YOU haha.

The weather has just started to get really nice here in vegas and of course im going back to cold michigan haha. My flight is tomorrow morning at around 945(gross) and im still not sure when i will be coming back. I bought a one way ticket because it was cheaper and i really dont know when im going to want to leave. It will most likely be sometime next week like tues or weds, or i will stick around for easter and be back next monday. Im arriving in michigan around 445 tomorrow and am going straight from the airport to Joe Louis arena to watch the red wings. Ive wanted to go to a game all season but they were always out of town when ive been home this year so im really looking forward to it. The seats i got are pretty shitty because it was kind of a last minute idea but it should be a good game because they are playing Dallas who is pretty good.

Its around 1:00a.m. here and i really have no idea how i plan on getting up in a few hours. After last nights mess i dont think im going to be able to fall asleep tonight without taking a sleeping pill. I would like to just stay up but like i said im getting picked up at the airport and we're going straight to the game so i dont want to be a zombie all day tomorrow and i cant sleep on planes. Anyways back to last nights adventure..... I start getting ready and have a few beers before we all meetup at DragonFly around 10pm for some food, drinks, and bottles of sake. Im just about to walk out the door and receive a text from clay saying that hes picking up a special suprise guest and not to go there until 10:30. So now im already with nothing to do for the next half hour so i decide to have a few more beers and own some fools online real quick. I played some 10/20 and 5/10 for about 20 minutes and made a quick 2.5k, a decent start to the night. I arrive at dragonfly a little after 10:30 to the usual entourage of clay, john(chatter), ace, and the 2 special guests of the night who were Belowabove and the Wacokidd. For any of my non poker friends these are two of the top online tournament players in the world and are probably the definition of balling haha by poker standards. I dont really feel like introducing them anymore but im sure if you yahooed or googled their names a zillion things would probably come up. Anyways we chilled here for quite a while (until around 2 or 3)killing drinks and bottles of sake (Aka- kool-aid) until we decided it was time to head over to the http://www.spearmintrhinolv.com/index2.html RHINO, oh boy haha. Ive heard many stories about this the rhino and its considered the top strip club in vegas and i had never been here before so i was interested in seeing what all the fuss was about. It lived up to the hype but in the end its still just a strip club but i would definately say it was probably the best one ive been to. There are like a million girls and they all look amazing which at any other strip club there might be like 1 or 2 that are amazing but here they all are. We had a pretty big group with us so it took a minute for us to get a table but once we did it was on. The drinks and shots continued to flow and it was a pretty fun night. We ended up chilling here until the sun was out so im assuming it was probalby around 9 so by the time we finally called it a night. good times.... I got back to the apartment this morning and instead of passing out like a normal person i take a look to see if there were any good games to bet on. The only game that i liked was the houston rockets at- 5 against the hawks so i (stupidly) drive down to the redrock to throw 500 on it. My hot streak of betting continues as they end up winning by 8. Anyways the sleeping pill is kicking in here so im out and check back in a few days to see how Meeechigan is going.

Sorry i couldn't really think of a good title for this so I'm just going with the ................ . as the title of this post. Its mostly going to be a bunch of random things from the past week so i bare with me. I had a huge post written up a few days ago titled "i hate poker" but it somehow got deleted before i could put it up and there was no way i was going to write it all over again. The lost entry was pretty much a rant about losing 5k in the first few days of the month and about how i think online tournaments are totally rigged but I'm okay now and don't hate poker anymore haha. I want to talk more about how i really do think online tournaments are rigged but i don't have time right now and i will talk more about it in the next post i promise, its something I've been meaning to post about for a while. Lets just say i feel my account is doomed when it comes to tournaments and the good tournament players just have lucky accounts. Anyways ill discuss all that in the next post for sure. Other than that i haven't been playing a ton of poker but have been doing okay and have grinded back to about even on the month.

I don't really know why but I've had the itch to bet on sports games lately and its been going really good, almost too good. Ive only been betting like 100 or 200 on a game here and there but I've just been running insanely hot. I think I've won something crazy like 11 out of the last 12 bets that i have placed over the past week and this even includes a 3 way parlay from the other day. I put 150 on the Celtics tonight at -6 in the first half against the bulls and they managed to cover by 20 going into halftime haha, ship the monies. Another game that i absolutely loved was the warriors at -5 against the heat but by the time i got to the sports book the line had jumped all the way up to -8 and i decided to pass and go with the Celtics, warriors won by 35 haha, bad beat.

Its about 730 Friday night and I'm still debating on whether or not i feel like going out tonight. I have no motivation to get off the couch right now and i still feel pretty shitty from last nights festivities. Last night i went from not planning on going out and doing anything to getting bottles, doing shots, and staying out until sometime this morning. I started off with my usual routine of collecting peoples money to pay for my night(aka- playing poker) and doing a some predrinking at the Wynn. This went pretty well by me winning a little over 1200 on my very first hand haha.

Quick hand summary- I post after the button and pick AK of clubs, 2 limpers to me and i make it 25 to go, both the blinds and the limpers call, eww. Flop comes J10 8 with 2 clubs, a decent flop but certainly one that hits a ton of hands. everyone checks to me and I decide to bet 75 with the intentions of going all the way if reraised here. small blind calls quickly(putting him on like 109/89) and one of the limpers reraises it 160 more and he only has like 200 more behind. Normally i would reraise here and put him all in but i wanted the small blind to come along too because he had like 700 more so i decide to call and pray he calls as well. Instead once i call the small blind insta shoves all in for like 480 more. The other guy calls off his last 2oo and with how much is in the pot theres no way im folding at this point and i call. turn comes a 7 of clubs giving me the nuts and the river is a 2 of hearts. Small blind had 89 for the turned straight, other guy didnt show, and i win with the nut flush, easy game.

Then i headed over to meet up with over at the Luxor where a friend(molly) is in town and some of her girlfriends had a table/bottle at http://www.laxthenightclub.com/ LAX. Thursdays are pretty weak at LAX but the table was right on the dance floor and it was a pretty fun time there. After the bottle was gone it was starting to clear out so we decided to head over to Empire and get another bottle. Empire http://www.empireballroom.com/ is this sweet after hours club that plays the best techno I've ever heard but for some reason it was extremely dead last night. Its usually packed every time I've ever been but i guess last night was just an off night. We chilled here for a a few hours and once the bottle was gone everyone decided it was about time to call it a night. or morning whichever way you look at. I got back and shouldve passed out but not before i played a little 25/50 haha. I didn't get too involved but woke up with my stars account 1.5k richer so that was nice. The only thing i really remember from the "session" was talking shit nonstop to "thegrumpyone" for some reason?? haha oh well.

Alright well this was supposed to be a quick update post but is getting way too long so I'm going to finish this up. I think I'm going to head down to the Wynn here in a while to play some poker and decide whether or not i want to go out. I know I've been slacking on the updates but I'm going to start posting a lot more from now on, i mean it this time. I didn't really get to talk about everything i wanted to so i will post more tomorrow for sure so check back for that and to see how tonight went.

Here is my final table from saturday where i once again couldnt finish. I only entered this tournament because it was a new style on pokerstars that i havent seen yet. It was a 4 handed 88 buy in with only 10 minute levels so i knew it would be over quick and i wouldnt have to sit around playing it all day/night. I didnt really feel like playing at all saturday so i entered a few tournaments to just mess around in while i was sitting around watching tv before the night began. As you can see i ended up finishing in 3rd for around 1700 or something which is pretty decent for not really wanting to play and i was also pretty shortstacked from like 45 players on to the final table. Pokerstars had a ton of good tournaments running on sunday but unfortunately I had a very late saturday night(which ill get to in a sec) and wasnt able to play in any of them. Ive only had a few short sessions since my last post 2 live and 1 online which have all been winners. I played earlier online for maybe a half hour and here is the only decent sized pot i was involved in.

Saturday night started off pretty standard for me, predrinking/poker because it just feels better spending other peoples money during the night. This was my first time going to the hard rock and i have to say its nothing like what i expected, it was actually really cool. They have tons of cool rock memorabilia all over, its much smaller than the other hotels, and they played rock music. We pre drank a little more before going to Body English http://www.bodyenglish.com/ we had tables/bottles waiting for us. Ive heard from a lot of people about how cool this place is and it definately lived up to the hype. It was a lot smaller than the big clubs like Pure, Lax, etc. but i think that almost made it better. Although i think it probably wouldve sucked if we didnt have a table because it was so small/packed but we did so it was a good time. I think we left here around 3(total guess) to go meet up with some friends(hodge and company) who had a table at penthouse http://www.penthouselv.com/ . After this things get a little fuzzy but i do remember getting home around 10 or 11 and trying to stay up until 1:30 to play in the 530 buy in on stars haha. Needless to say i couldnt make it and woke up out on the couch around 3 and went back to bed til about 8 or 9. Im not sure what i was doing on the couch because i never sleep there but i mustve been trying my hardest to stay up for the tourney but just couldnt do it. Oh and I also may or may not be going out this weekend with a girl that works there........ she wants me to call her thursday so ill keep u updated if i decide to man up and call her. I woke up at 11 a.m. today(gross) to go play in the Venetian 340 buy in tournament and was reminded why i hate tournaments. I ended up finishing like 22nd or something out of around 500 players for like 710 and the whole day was pretty much a bust. These things pay out so top heavy with 1st place paying like 45k and with the cash game stakes im used to playing unless im making the final table its pretty much a waste of time. I know making 430 or whatever and saying it was a waste of time sounds horrible but i feel like with the 10 hours i just dumped into todays tournament i couldve easily made more money playing cash games. Alright enough of my hate rant towards tournaments because when i finally break through and win one of these it will all be worth it, i think. Alright well i just wanted to let you know how todays tournament went and let out a little venting about my hatrid for tournaments. With that being said..... Im playing in the 550 buy in tourney tomorrow at the venetian haha , so check back to see how that went and im out.

Oh on a good note i bet 500 on Barcelona(soccer) to win today and they came through in what sounded like a very exciting game. Unfortunately i couldnt watch any of it because i was bored out of my mind in the tournament and the dealers/nazis at the venetian wont even let you use your phone at the table so i couldnt even check the score. Ill get to the hands shortly but first i want to talk about a few things. First off i would like to talk about my new cellphone that i picked up last week the BlackBerry Pearl. This phone http://www.blackberrypearl.com/ really is amazing in comparison to my last phone. I have had the same cellphone for at least like 6 years and it was literally like one of the first phones to have a camera on it haha, thats old school. Needless to say its a little bit of a much needed upgrade. Its pretty funny because i feel like an old man trying to figure out how to use all the new features. It has a ton of cool things u can do like internet, video camera, gps, u can watch tv on it, etc. and its just really been one of the best things ive bought in a while.

Yesterday the weather was kind of crappy compared to what the weather channel said but we decided to go golfing anyway. The 4 of us decided to do 18 at this place out in summerlin that i cant remember the name of, lets just call it shithole. I dont know if its just because its so early in the year or what but this mightve been one of the worst courses ive ever played on. The fairways were shitty, the greens were literally like cement, and the "rough" was just some rocks covered in straw. The course was a piece of shit but we still had a fun time and it felt good to get out on the course for the first time this year. I actually expected to shoot a lot worse than i did for my first time out but i was making some decent contact on like every shot. This kid we were with almost got a hole in one too which was pretty nuts. The hole was playing about 140 or something he steps up, hits it, and as soon as he hits you can tell its going to be a good shot. It lands towards the front of the green and starts rolling straight at the pin which is towards the back. It hits the pin and lips out around the cup! it was so sick if it had just a little less speed it definetly wouldve been in, bad beat. That was like the 9th or 10th whole and was pretty much the end of the real golfing. We started shotgunning beers after like every hole on the back 9 and proceeded to get pretty drunk. My friend(hodge) decided to put the cart in reverse( makes a loud beeping noise when in reverse) right in the middle of my backswing and i just pop the ball way up into the air and right on the roof of this lady's house haha. She came out and looked pretty pissed but we just kind pretended like it didnt happen and drove off. Last i recall is racing the carts trying to get the others to crash and whipping beer cans off their cart windshield. I love golf. Anyways this is starting to get way too long so im going to wrap it up. I am going to play in the venetian 330 buy in tournament tomorrow so check back to see how that went and im out.

Things have continued to go well since last post and hopefully i can finish out the month with a good run. The weather is finally warming up and its starting be pretty nice out. Poker has been going pretty well so far this month both live and online. Im going to post a bunch of hands from the past week so i dont feel like writing up a huge post so i will write a little about how pokers been going and a little write up about what ive been up to off the felt.

Ill start off with some poker talk so if your one of my non poker friends you can feel free to skip pass this. Ive been playing pretty well since posting last week but more importantly i havent been getting sucked out on every hand. I cant tell you how good it feels to get all in with AA vs KK and actually have it hold up. The past week of playing live i have put in a lot of hours and have had some good results. I have been playing mostly 2/5 no cap at the wynn but have thrown in a few 5/10 sessions when the games looked good. Ive been putting in at least 5 hours a day which doesnt sound like a lot but i have really been slacking off up until now. Over the past week or so ive made around 5k playing live and have been playing pretty good. Funny live hand from a few days ago and where i got the title to this post from- Old lady(who had a wsop bracelet from the seniors event last year) was playing pretty reckless and i knew i would catch her slipping eventually. Anyways im in the small blind with 22 and everyone folds to the old lady who limps in on the button so i call and the bb checks. This is the first time i have seen her do this so my read is she either has something huge or she really has nothing. Flop comes down Q77 i check, bb checks, she instantly fires out 20 bucks into the 15 pot, I call and the bb folds. The turn comes a 4 so i check it again and this time with no hesitation she fires out 60 into the 50 pot. At this point im pretty confident in my hand as long as a scare card doesnt hit the river. The river comes down a 3 and i decide to bet out a measly 5 dollars because im sure i have the best hand and i just want to see what she will do. Its such a sick bet too because she cant call, she really cant fold, the only thing she can do is raise it which she did to 105. I snap call and she says "nice hand i have nothing" and i proudly flip over my tiny deuces to scoop the pot and part of her soul haha. The look on her face was priceless when i rolled over the deuces and it sent a pretty loud message to the table that im not to be fucked with haha. Most of the players already knew that but it just feels good to make those sick calls/plays every once in a while. The pot wasnt really that big but it feels good to have another player(who i think is a good player) at the table say "You are a sick sick man." As far as online goes im up about 7k on the month and im just going to put up a bunch of hands instead of talking about it.

This weekend was pretty tame compared to others but i still had a good time. I only ended up going out friday night but it was a long one. I started off down at the wynn to make some quick spending money for the night and to get a good pre-game buzz going. After both were a accomplished in a few hours we had a table/bottle at Scores. We ended up going through a few bottles and bullshitting around here for a while until we left to go to Dave Navarro's/ Fuels bellagio suite for a party???? The only stipulation was that we had to bring some girls with us which we could not come through with. I was pretty suprised that barely any of the girls even knew who he was and the ones that did were not interested in coming with us at all. It was now daylight and we were heading to the bellagio to meet up with our friends buddy who we were going to get in with. While we waited we were scowering the bellagio for any chicks we could find to come with us but it was like 7am and we had no luck. We end up going to this party we definately had got there too late. There was like 10 people sitting around(maybe like 2 girls) and it was just kind of dead. The real party was obviously back in the bedroom where supposedly Dave, the lead singer of fuel, and a ton of girls were at but we obviously couldnt go back there. The door cracked open for a second and that was definately where the party was at. I saw like 3 hot chicks speaking some foreign language and then some rocker looking guy came to the door and shut it. I dont know what the lead singer of fuel looks like but im assuming this mustve been him. After having a drink here we decided that the night was pretty much over so we headed home. I felt like death all day saturday so there was no way i was going out.

I have a few more things i want to talk about like yesterdays golfing adventure, new phone, etc. but this is getting way too long. I think ill just wait until later tonight to finish the rest of this up. Im going to go play at the wynn so check back later to see how that went and i will put the hands up from the last week then as well.

I know ive been slacking a lot lately on the blog but i promise i will start updating more frequently from now on. As you can see in the title things have been going a little better this week compared to when i last posted. Im not really sick anymore, the weather has been perfect, and poker has been going much better. I never ended up going to the doctor when i was sick but i just took a ton of medicine and it just kind of went away, hopefully. Im not really one of those people who wont go to the doctors no matter what i just dont like going because its a huge hassle. Having to set up a appt., go there wait in the waiting room, finally go back in the room and wait some more for the doctor to look at you for 2 seconds and im just too lazy for all this.

I was also going to post a article on the top 10 worst cities in the U.S. that was on yahoo a few days ago but now i cant find the link damnit. Anyways my home state of good ol michigan had two of the top 3 spots haha. Detroit took down the number one spot and Flint came in at a very impressive 3rd. The list was called the top 10 depressing cities in the u.s. and was based on their economies and homicide rate.

Mr. Jinx hasnt been eating at all this week so i guess im going to have to take him to the vet. He doesnt really seem to be acting any different he just refused to eat his dry food. Ive even tried giving him 3 types of dry food that i know hes liked in the past and he just wont eat anything other than normal human food or cans of food. So i dont know if its because he is sick or if hes just become spoiled.

Last night i met up with some poker/pocketfives people which included: mcleod,chatter,chatters brother,lvpokerdealer, acerunner,and one more person but i just cant remember his name and we had a pretty fun night out. The night started off at the Orleans for drinks and some high stakes bowling. We bowled 3 games and i ended up losing every bet that i made haha. Its so sick too because the last game i ended up bowling a 194 which is pretty good for me(highest score of the night by anyone:brag) and we still ended up losing, bad beat. By the time we were done bowling i was stuck about 40 bucks which sucked but it was still a good time and i got a good buzz going by the time we were done. After we got done bowling we headed over to this place called dragonfly which was pretty cool. Ive only heard of this place and never been but it was definatley a pretty cool chill/pre drinking type place. Also they have like happy hour after midnight where everything was half off so we ate, drank, bottle of sake, and some JAIGERBOMBS and my bill was like only 30 bucks. Im not positive what time we left but im i think it was around 3 or so and we decided that we needed to hit up a strip club. We tried going to this place i cant remember the name of way off the beaten path past old downtown but because the wind was so strong yesterday their was a power outage and the place was closed. Instead we ended up heading to this place called Olympic Gardens and proceeded to get pretty wasted. I had a decent buzz by the time we got there and decided it was time to start powering down shots. Clay/lvpokerdealer was the only other person who was up for shots and i think we mustve took a good 5 or 6 jaigerbombs that were probably 80% jaiger and a splash of redbull. I ended up getting the number from this chick who i was talking to all night but im a coward and probably wont end up calling her haha.

"Sick" Month...

So where do i begin....? Its been a little over 3 weeks now since my last post and a lot has been going on. The superbowl, me being sick, friends in town, losing 10k, and more of me being sick which i still am kind of. Ive also pretty much accomplished absolutely nothing towards my 2008 goals. I havent started working out, have played in maybe like 5 tournaments, and havent really been playing much poker. Hopefully after i start feeling a little better i can get my shit together and get motivated.

This was probably the worst/most boring superbowl i have ever watched, up to the last quarter when it became the best ive ever seen. The game really had everything, a huge underdog, a perfect season on the line, and a game winning play in the last minute of the game. The one thing that was pretty lame this year was the commercials. Usually you can at least run off at least 2 or 3 the next day that you remember/thought were funny but this year there was none. The only commercial i can actually even remember is the pepsi one with Justin timberlake which was pretty dumb too. I decided to make a last minute bet of 500 on the patriots at -12 which obviously was a bad idea. Its pretty funny because i have been riding the giants like the whole 2nd half of the season and the game i decide to bet against them they kill it. I was actually half joking around towards the end of the season saying that the giants would win the superbowl. I also bet on the under of 1.5 rushing yards for tom brady which was a winner so i only ended up losing about 280 altogether which actually shouldve only been 180. I get to the sportsbook a few hours before the game and they have a million things that you can bet on EXCEPT the coin toss. Obviously i wanted to bet on tails and sure enough it ended up being tails FUCK, so i felt like i was stuck 100 before the game even started.

Luckily i havent really felt shitty ive just been really congested and have a little bit of a cough. Unfortunately i think i am going to have to go see a doctor though because its been a little over a week now of taking all this^^ stuff and it doesnt seem to be going away. I think mr. jinx might have caught my cold as well because he isnt eating anything and he puked all over my laptop(luckily it was closed) so i probably have to take him to the vet as well, colds suck.

Time to elaborate on my losing 10k comment haha. January started off good with me being up about 8k between live/online by like jan. 10th then it came to a screaching hault. It was as if someone flipped a switch because after the 10th i didnt have another winning session the rest of the month. I wasnt playing bad but i wouldnt say i was playing good, was running horrible, started tilting, and by the end of the month managed to lose my 8k profit and 2k more making for my first losing month in forever, great start to the year right haha. Ive managed to break out of my funk a little bit the past few days online but man what a rough 3 weeks that was and hopefully its over. Ive also had a few winning sessions live the past few times ive played. Im not going to get a ton of live cash game play in this month because the venetian just started their deepstack tournament series yesterday which runs all month. I plan on playing in all/most of the Monday, Wednesday, and thursday events and depending how those go possibly play in some of the sundays as well. I played in the first event yesterday which didnt go to well. I got maybe 4 hours of sleep before the start and really felt like a zombie playing. Also i get there like 20 minutes before the start and there is a huge line so i had to be an alternate which sucks because i didnt even sit down until about 45 minutes into the tournament. I doubled up pretty quick but ran JJ into AA when i had about 14k in chips which i shouldve got away from and then busted out with JJ vs. AK. I definately shouldve got away from the JJ hand but i wasnt exactly playing my A game. Anyways im about to head down and play a little poker so check back later to see how that went and im out.

Its been 2 weeks now since i planned on starting my goal and i still haven't started yet. It was just kind of hard to do when people are in town visiting but they are gone now and i still feel like i can lose 5 pounds by the end of the month. Tomorrow is the official beginning to the goal and i mean it this time haha. We had a friend who was supposed to move out here with us at the end of this week but we haven't talked to him in 2 weeks so who knows whats going on with that. He already paid us for rent and now hes just fallen off the face of the earth. As I'm typing this there is a huge fight or something going on in the apartment directly below us. All our neighbors are super quiet but i don't know whats going on down there but it doesn't sound good. All i can hear is screaming and a bunch of banging around. If we got the cops called on us for playing video games I'm sure someone will call them over this. I think i mightve forgot to mention us getting the cops called on us so here goes.

During like the first month i moved out here bill,hodge, and i were drinking and decided to play some video games. I had just bought Fifa 08 for ps3 and we decided to play it online against some other fools. Now this was probably around 3 or 4 in the morning and it was still nice out so we forgot that we had the windows open. The games were pretty close so we were screaming and yelling at the TV and next thing you know a cop shows up at the door haha. My buddy answers the door and the cop says he is here for the domestic dispute haha. Buddy tells him no we are just in here playing video games and he was still like"are u sure theres nothing going on in here?" so we tell him to look in the door and see for himself that we are playing games. He popped his head around the corner to take a look and the very first thing he says is "cool is that HD" haha. He was like blown away with the ps3 hd that he seriously wouldn't leave haha. He just sat at the door watching the TV and kept asking us all these questions about the ps3 and hd for about 5 minutes, almost to the point where it was uncomfortable. I think he was waiting for us to ask him to play or something haha. We were so into the game that we got the cops called on us haha, EXTREME!. Its funny because we aren't gamers at all, i have a ps3,xbox 360, and a Wii and all together they probably get used about 5 hours a month. Although i just hooked up the xbox online yesterday and played call of duty 4 for a while. This game is awesome but the gamer nerds online are so good and i suck so bad that its almost unenjoyable because i just get killed like every 2 seconds.

I really haven't been getting in much poker this year either. Ive played a few live 5/10 sessions with minimal results and put in a nice online session yesterday. I played a bunch of 10/20nl and some 3/6 and 5/10 omaha. The 10/20 games were pretty soft but I'm not going to lie i got pretty lucky in a few hands, i guess if you call flopping sets lucky. I guess now that i look back over my hands from the session i wasn't too lucky i just didn't run bad like usual. Although i did pick up KK vs. AA and then a set over set and managed to lose only 450 total! To pick up those huge hands in a 10/20 game and only lose 450 between the two of them is amazing. Ive had a pretty good start to the year in terms of poker but other than that its been a pretty unproductive start. I haven't started working out yet i still think i should be able to reach the 5 pound goal by the end of the month. We have some friends (Lewis,Mcfarlane, etc.) in town so its kind of hard to work out and eat healthy with them being here so i will start Monday. They have some suites at the Mandalay Bay which are really nice and the Porn convention is being held there this week so that's cool too.

Last night we started off the night going to LAX who were having a Penthouse party but we didn't have a table and it was way too packed in there to have any fun unless you had one. So after finally pushing our way through the crowd we left there and just grabbed some drinks at a bar in the lobby for a while. Finally we decided to go up to this place called MIX http://www.mandalaybay.com/dining/mixlounge.aspx which is on the very top of Mandalay bay. I don't think we got there until like 2 or something so the only good scenery there was the actual scenery. Its on the very top floor with a balcony so you really get a great view of the strip/city. Its kind of like the ghost bar at the palms but on the total opposite end of the strip. The place was pretty dead but these two porn stars came and sat at the table next to us so that was pretty interesting. I was pretty wasted at this point and these chicks still didn't look good. One of them was semi attractive and the other one had to much plastic surgery done and looked like Michael Jackson. After a few drinks here and no luck with the "stars" we decided to head back down to the lobby to see what other kind of trouble we could get into. I think it was probably around 4 at this point and we ended up stumbling across the taping of that MTV show Wild N Out. It wasn't really the show but it easily couldve been. It was this little dance floor with everyone sitting around it cracking jokes on each other and challenging each other to dance offs haha. Needless to say it wasn't exactly our scene. We wandered for a little bit longer before finally calling it a night and going home.

It was like 5 and i was totally wasted so i did the only logical thing to do at this time and decided to play some online poker HAHA. I ended up playing until like 8 or 9 this morning and had some nice results racking up a profit of around 8k haha. I really don't remember much from the session but i remember playing all over the place. I think at one point i was playing a 3/6, 5/10, 10,20, 25/50nl and some Omaha all at the same time.

The pistons game is starting and i have to start getting ready for the night so I'm going to wrap this up. Tonight we are going to eat at Craft Steak http://www.mgmgrand.com/dining/craftsteak-steak-house.aspx inside of the MGM and i cant wait. I ate here last year and its probably the best meal I've ever had. Its a bit pricey but theres definitely nothing like some kobe beef. Its officially 2008 and i hope everyone had a fun new years eve. This was my first year in Vegas for new years and they don't call it "America's party" for nothing. They completely shut down the strip around 6pm and its just one huge party from then on until after midnight. Some friends from California came into town for a few days to celebrate so i hung out with them on new years eve. They were staying at the Excalibur which i thought was a total dump but it was actually a nice hotel and the rooms were pretty nice. I had never been there before but it definitely impressed me so anyone looking for a decent priced hotel i would stay there, of course that's only if you cant get a room at the Imperial Palace. I headed to down to the strip to meet up with them at their hotel around 6 and it was already getting pretty nuts. We went out to eat at this restaurant (who's name i cant remember) inside Mandalay bay before we headed out for the night. I got the NY strip which was really good and I've never been a big wine guy but we got a few bottles and it was alright. A quick thanks to Cory and josh for putting the bill on their company's account. After some good food/wine it was time to get down to the strip and let the party begin. We headed down to the strip around 10 or something and it was just total mayhem everywhere which was cool but kind of sucked at the same time. It was like being in a club/bar that is too packed to the point where you cant even move, but this was how the entire strip was. It was kind of weird not seeing the ball drop for the first time. Instead all the hotels put on a huge fireworks display which was pretty cool if you are into fireworks. After the ball dropped my memory is a little fuzzy. We were supposed to meet some people at Caesars but forgot they shut down all the entrances to the casinos after midnight so we couldn't get in there. Somehow this chick we were with saw some guy she knew working the gate at harrahs so we were able to get in there and that's about the last i recall of the night.

Well now that its the new year every ones got their resolutions and i thought of a few for myself for 08'. Ive had this same resolution now i think for about 5 years in a row but this year i am going to make it happen. Drum roll please................................... here are my 2008 resolutions.

1. Lose weight/get healthy. This is by far the most important of the goals to me and I'm going to do everything i can to do this. I am going to start working out, cutting out fast food, eating healthy, and my goal is to lose at least 5 pounds every month this year. I'm not sure what my exact weight is now but I'm getting a scale tomorrow and will be posting the results to keep me motivated. Ill get more into specifics with this tomorrow once i get things ready.

2. To be playing 25/50nl regularly by the end of the year. Right now my regular game is 5/10 and a little 10/20 when they have games running. I feel like I've been playing good poker lately but in order to be playing 25/50 you need to be playing Great poker. Ive really slacked off big time over the past 6-8 months and feel like I've just been in this rut to where I'm content with my game instead of doing everything possible to become the best i can be. Also I've been playing really short sessions and quitting when I'm up like 700 or 800 instead of staying as long as possible while the game is good.

3. To have at least 3 cashes in tournaments over 10k. I think this one is going to be tough but i feel like its definitely achievable. I didn't have even 1 cash in 07 over 10k but i think my tournament game is going to blow up this year. I don't play very many tournaments but I'm going to play more this year and try to become a good tournament player.

Alright this is getting way too long so I'm going to wrap this up. I will write up a better post tomorrow about the specifics of these resolutions and what I'm going to do to reach them. I'm back in Michigan for the holidays and hope you all had a great Christmas. It feels good to be back home for Christmas even though i was just here a month ago for thanksgiving. Christmas just seems to have more of a cheery kind of feel to it opposed to thanksgiving and i guess that's why i like it better. Its a pretty hectic time of year with visiting everyone, my annual last minute(i literally save my shopping until a few hours before the stores close on Xmas eve) shopping, Christmas, my birthday, and finally new years. Ive still got my birthday(tomorrow) to go and new years in Vegas which should both be a pretty fun time. Even with everything going on around this time i cant help but wonder what Mr. Jinx is up to back in Vegas.

I didn't feel like bringing him home with me on the plane just because it would've been a huge hassle so my plan was to take him to a cat resort haha. That's right i said a Cat Resort. There is a cat resort down the road from our apartment i was planning on taking him to while i was gone but i kind of procrastinated on calling there and all their "rooms" were booked. So i looked online to see if it was okay to leave cats alone for a week and it said that he should fine. I just left out like 3 big bowls of food and he drinks out of the toilet anyways so I'm sure. Hes probably just crawling up the walls though because i don't think hes ever been alone for more than a day at a time let alone a week.

With everything going on this week so far I've still managed to get in 3 decent sessions of poker. Ill break them down by sessions.

Session 1- Ive been doing pretty well at these 100 heads up sit n gos lately so i decided to play a bunch of those. I cant figure out how to keep track of the in pokertracker but i know i did pretty well and made a little over 1k playing these. I also played a little 5/10 and 10/20 for about an hour and brought the days total profit up to a little under 2k. Some hands-

Im sitting in the airport right now about to head back to michigan so this is going to be pretty short. I wanted to post something up before heading back though because i dont know when the next time i post will be. I got stuck in traffic on the way to the airport and thought there was no way i would make the flight but lucky me the flight was delayed 40 minutes! Man im running good this week haha. I didnt end up getting to the airport until 20 minutes before the flight was scheduled to take off so there was no way i wouldve made it if it wasnt cancelled. I went to the venetian again yesterday and the game was super soft once again so i was able to make around 1k in probably only an hour and a half. It was all the same donks as before and i really am hoping that these are the 5/10 regulars at the venetian because they are awful. I wanted to keep playing the game all night but a few people left and no one else wanted to keep playing once it got down to 5 handed. I also put a few hours in online and was able to pick up around 1300 or so. I had some hands that i wanted to put up but my plane is starting to board now so i will do that later. Anyways i gotta go but check back on like sunday or monday and i should have a updated post up.

The stupid thermostat in our apartment is broke so its freezing in here. The heat works but once you turn it on you cant set it to a certain temperature and it just keeps rising. The other day i turned it on and set it to 7o and about an hour later i thought it seemed pretty hot in here so i looked at the thermostat and it was 95 haha. Instead of being hot and uncomfortable we just leave the heat off and freeze. Luckily ill be going home in a few days and into some nice weather.... nope, in Michigan its currently 31 degrees with snow. Alright that's enough venting.

I picked up this book right before going home for thanksgiving and i highly recommend it. I'm not a big reader at all, in fact i don't think I've actually read a whole book from front to end, but recently I've been having trouble spelling the most common words so i figured it was time to hit the books. Ive been wanting to actually read a book for a while now and when i saw Slash on Conan O'Brien promoting this i was sold. I'm a huge Guns n Roses/80's rock fan so this book is perfect for me. I was kind of skeptical at first once i saw how thick it was(about 500 pages) but after one plane ride I've already read about a 1/3 of it and this reading thing isn't so bad after all.

Except for the occasional bad beat here and there poker has been going pretty well since last posting. I signed up for some tournaments on Sunday and as soon as they started i just didn't feel like playing at all. If it was just the 215 i mightve just quit but it was the 615 satellite to the Bahamas so i stuck it out only to lose yet again. I'm not to sure what it was but i just had no motivation at all to play poker that day and the results showed. Yesterday i played in the softest 5/10 game at the venetian that I've played in since moving out here and i think i might start playing there a lot more often. I usually play at the Wynn or Caesars but just felt like a change yesterday so i tried out the Venetian for the first time and i cant believe how bad the players were. This kid who sat next to me yesterday said he plays there all the time and its not usually like that but he kind of sucked too so I'm thinking i might have stumbled across a really profitable game. Just a bunch of old rich guys there to have fun and try to play some poker. I played for about 4 hours and ended up making around 2300. I also played a few hours of sit n gos online and made around 600. The Wynn has been spreading a 5-5 PLO high game which i think i might play in today but i just don't think i can pass up the venetian. Fell off the wagon....

Tuesday night we went out to Pure and it was the first time i had a drink in 2 weeks. I wasn't intentionally trying to not drink it just kind of happened. I didn't really want to post anything in here about it because its kind of like when a pitcher is throwing a no hitter you just want to leave it be. Ricky Hatten or whatever his name was there and i cant believe how tiny he was. It says online that he is 5'6' but I'm only 5'10 and he was easily a good foot shorter than me.

The past few days have been pretty good in poker and I've been able to string together some winning sessions. I played some 5/10 at Caesars on Tuesday but was really card dead but was somehow able to still pull in like 400. Paul Wasicka came and sat to my left so i really had to kind of play lock down poker because he was playing every hand. I don't think he was playing too serious but i saw him make some nice calls and was pretty impressed with his game. His picks for this weekend are the packers and the under in the Cleveland game for anyone interested in betting. Yesterday the 25/50 game on stars was looking super soft so i sat down and made about 1200 or so before the game broke. I didn't really get any hands but was able to make the best out of what i had. After the short online session i went to the Wynn to play some 5/10 but the game looked really tough so i decided to play some 2/5. That really annoying guy from poker after dark David Boston i think his name is was playing the 5/10 along with some of the more solid 5/10 regulars so i passed. The 2/5 went pretty well and i ended up pulling in around 600 or so in a little over 3 hours. I was up around 1100 at one point but flopped a straight and a guy rivered a flush against it costing me around 400.

Today i played a little online and some 5/10 at the Wynn. I decided to play some heads up sit n gos while sitting around and ended up making around 700 doing so. I played like 6 100 dollar heads up matches winning like 5 of them and won a 4 person 100 heads up match and also won that. I would still be playing some of them right now while watching TV but for some reason stars keeps disconnecting me and i really had a hard time finishing the last one almost timing out every hand. The 5/10 game was real soft at the Wynn today and i was able to make around 800 in around 4 hours. I shouldve been up more but stupidly i tried bluffing this old calling station donk and bluffed off about 600 to him. Heres the hand-

He limps in early position which hes done a lot with very mediocre hands and 2 others limp in. I'm in the BB with K7 of spades and the flop comes out J73 with the J3 being spades, a great flop for me. I decide to check. Old dude leads out for 70 which is about the size of the pot and i had seen him make this bet many times with 2nd pair/ top pair weak kicker type hands. Other guy calls the 70 and i check raise it to 220 total. Old dude thinks for a bit and i see that he reluctantly calls and the other guy folds. I immediately knew that he had a weak J like j10/jq/j9 type hands and THINK i can get him off it and if not i have a zillion outs. The turn card is the 6 of hearts which obviously is horrible for me but i lead out for 320 and again after some deliberation he calls. The river comes the 2 of hearts,another brick because i cant hit draws even when i have 9840932494 outs. He had about 600 left at this point and after some thought i decided that this calling station was going nowhere so i check and he shows J9 which is exactly what i thought. He told me a few hands later that if i pushed the river he would've called, donk.
The game was super soft though for a while and i didn't really get involved in any huge pots but was able to finish up around 800. Alright well this is getting pretty long so I'm going to wrap this up with a few hands from the 25/50 the other day. Check back tomorrow to see whats going on and I'm out.

If i shove he has to put me on at least QQ and i just dont see how he can call here with his mid pair type hand which is what i put him on. This is a flaw of playing the 25/50 for me because if this was 5/10 or even 10/20 i wouldnt think twice about shoving here but instead of going with my read i let the money scare me into folding. who knows maybe he smooth called behind with a big hand but i wouldve liked to have shoved here.

So i arrive back to Vegas and go into my room to unpack, and this is what is sitting on my bed, a huge poster of brian urlacher. I guess while i was gone our neighbor knocked on our door and said he was throwing this away and wanted to know if we wanted it. I think this is kind of weird because I've never talked to them and honestly i think I've only seen them once but that's another story. The real dilemma is now figuring out what to do with this thing. Normally i would just hang it up on the wall but unfortunately its a picture of douche urlacher who i don't really care for. I really don't want to throw it away either because its framed and is kind of nice. Anyways enough ranting on about this poster and i guess once i figure out what I'm going to do with it i will put a picture up of it, probably a pic of it in the trash but we'll see.

Since going to Turning stone last week my sleep schedule has been really out of wack and its weird being on the schedule I'm on. I really liked everything about the tournaments at turningstone but instead of a noon start time like everywhere else all of these tourneys started at 10a.m., gross. Since getting back to Vegas i have been waking up at like 9 a.m. every morning and by the time 10-11 p.m. rolls around I'm dead tired haha. The one positive thing about waking up so early is that i never really realized how much you could accomplish in a day if you wake up before 2 or 3. But other than that i just don't think this schedule is for me. I'm a night person so I've been forcing myself to stay up later and trying to sleep in so i can get back to "normal."

Since returning i haven't really had the best results playing poker. It feels like someone just flipped the bad beat switch and now i keep running into set up hands. I'm up a little bit playing live which is really a mystery to me because I've ran into some pretty sick set ups which included me folding KK preflop the other day. Folding the kk preflop isn't a big deal but it kind of summarizes how the cards have been running and luckily ive been playing well and have been able to get away from big hands when I'm beat. Every time I've picked up or made any kind of hand though its been resulting in me running set vs. set/ flush over flush every time and those are just tough to get away from. Even though I'm up only a few hundred bucks (playing live) since returning I'm very happy with my play because i feel like i could easily be down like 2 or 3k. Online has been pretty much the same. I had a couple nice days when i first got back but the past 3 days have been non stop set ups with people trying to give me their money but stars not letting them. Ive only been playing 2/4 but its just frustrating when you keep getting people to put their money in as a huge dog and they keep sucking out. Ive still got about 7000 VIP points to get before the 31st but i don't think its going to be a problem.

Anyways i just wanted to give a quick update on whats been going on the past few days. I think I'm going to play some 5/10 at Caesar's today so i will give an update later on of how that went and I'm out.

I went to best buy yesterday to pick up a cord so i can hook my ipod up in my car and got the wrong cord. Now that's not that big of a deal or very stupid but let me tell you what cord i got instead of the one i needed. The cord that i needed was the itrip adapter that has a headphone jack on it that hooks into your ipod so you can listen through your car. The cord is 80 bucks at best buy which is ridiculous so i decided to get a cd adapter for your car which is the same thing but only 20 bucks. Here is the cord that i bought for a quarter of the price-

Same cord for 2o bucks not bad right? Well i start driving home and realize that i don't have a tape player in my car haha. In my defense i had an explorer before my mustang that had the exact same looking factory CD player but had a tape player in it, but still how dumb am i haha?

Also while i was there i bought another xbox controller but got the wrong color. Here is everything that i picked up while there along with the very DISAPPOINTING movie Super bad. I don't know if it was over hyped and i was thinking it was going to be some amazingly funny movie but i just didn't think it was funny. It had a few funny parts here and there but for the most part it was pretty lame. If you have an xbox i definitely recommend getting call of duty 4. I usually dont really like these types of games but this is one of the best games ive played in a while.

I also attempted to go to the dmv again to try and pass the license test again but forgot where it was at so i just gave up and went to play poker. I went to the Wynn to play some 5/10 but ended up sitting on the waiting list for about 2 hours and when i finally sat down they were playing with everyone straddling. I ended up playing for about 20 minutes before finally leaving because i wasn't in the mood to play 10/20, which is pretty much what it was. I still felt like playing after i left there so i decided to head out to Red Rock which is close to our apartment but I've never been to their poker room. I heard they usually have a 5/10 game going but of course the night i show up they have nothing but 2/5 with a 1k cap. This was probably the softest 2/5 game i have ever seen and it was really weird to see how different the game was from down on the strip. I only stayed for a few hours but ended up making about 600 which wasn't bad because i really didn't have any cards the whole time. Anyways that's what I've been up to the past few days, I'm about to head to the Wynn so check back later and I'm out.

The tigers just pulled off another sick deal today and now their line up is absolutely sick. I guess the only real question for the 2008 season is who the tigers will have to beat in the world series. Today they picked up dontrelle willis who is a beast and miguel cabrera who when healthy is one of the best players in the game. The tigers have by far had the best off season by picking up these two along with edgar renteria and jacque jones and im pretty sure you can lock up the world series title right now. Here is just a guess of what the line up will look like:

After a few weeks in michigan and new york i am finally back in vegas. I was looking forward to getting off the plane and out of the freezing weather of ny/michigan but to my disgust it was freezing. I forgot how cold it gets here at night around this time of year and its really not any different than michigan weather except theres no snow. The turning stone deep stacks tournament didnt really go to well and i think i lost like 800 overall on the trip. I did manage to cash in 2 of the 4 tournaments i played in but not for anything significant. It was a pretty nice change of scenery from vegas to go back to michigan to see friends and family but after being there for a few weeks i was getting the itch to get back out here. Although it actually feels like im coming out here for vacation because im only going to be here a few weeks before heading back again for christmas and my 24th birthday, im ancient.

I played a decent amount of poker while i was home and was able to make around 3k from grinding online. This wouldnt be that big of a deal if i was playing my regular 5/10 but i was playing 1/2 and a little 2/4 haha. I have really been slacking online/not playing much since moving to vegas so i was stripped of my supernova status http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/?utm_id=1 on stars.So i decided im going to 6 table 2/4 until i can get back to supernova status. I currently have 90,450 vpp points so i figure if i just put in like 2 to 3 hours a day of 6 tabling i should be able to get to 100,000 by the time i have to head home for xmas. It doesnt really seem like a big deal to be supernova but i havent even reached platinum status in like 5 months and that means im not getting enough time in online. Im currently a gold star(gross) which is pretty pathetic for someone who plays poker for a living.

Anyways i just wanted to give you a quick shout on what ive been up to lately and pretty much brag about the tigers. I just got back last night so i have some running around to do but i might play a little poker later so check back to see how that went and im out.

Alright so its about 7:30 in the morning here at Turning Stone and due to my dads ridiculously loud snoring I'm unable to sleep once again. I didn't really know what to expect when coming to turning stone because it was kind of a last second thing but its actually a pretty nice place. We got the poker rate for 80 a night which is a steal for how nice the rooms are. The bad things about turning stone are : 1. the hotel is out in the country in the middle of nowhere and 2. there is NO ALCOHOL in the hotel! Its the craziest thing I've ever heard. I can deal with being in the middle of nowhere but, when you are out in the middle of nowhere what else is there to but drink? The casino has a bunch of bars and clubs inside of it but they don't have a liquor license and aren't allowed to sell it haha. I guess you are supposed to sneak around with your own liquor which kind of gives it high school dance feel. All in all though i would say its a pretty nice place and definitely a good place for like a poker getaway.

Alright now onto how I've been doing in the tournaments. The tournaments have such a good structure its almost too good. Its a deep stack tournament which i feel gives me a huge advantage because it plays more like a cash game for like the first 4 levels instead of a pick a hand and pray online tourney. You start off with 10,000 chips with the blinds starting at 25/50 for 4o minute levels and this really gives you a ton of play before you have to start worrying about the blinds. The only problem with these tournaments are is that they start at 10a.m. and that's just way too early for me to be waking up. Ive felt like a zombie the past 3 days of play but have been playing pretty good but with some minimal results.

The first tournament was a 230 buy in which had around 360 players. I cant even remember what first prize was but it paid the top 35 and i ended up finishing like 28th or something. Which really sucked bad because i had been playing for like 13 hours only to end up making a whopping 90 dollar profit haha.

The second tournament was a 340 buy in which was a little better because there were less players. There was around 220 players with first prize being like 19k and the top 25 i think getting paid. Unfortunately i was pretty much card dead the whole time and when i did pick up hands i couldn't get any action so i busted out in like 42nd place or something.

Yesterday was really what i was looking forward to and it was the 6 handed tournament with a 500 buy in. The tournament had about 170 entrants with first prize being a nice 27k and the top 15 making the money. Ive had some pretty decent success in 6 handed tournaments which is pretty weird because i don't play 6 handed cash games. I drew a pretty tough table with all young/aggressive Internet players but i was finally rested and was just able to pick apart the table. It actually got to the point where the 2 players on my right kept saying i cant wait until the table breaks and we get to move. The table ended up breaking like after the 3rd level and i had already doubled up my stack to 20k which is pretty decent for what the blinds were at. After that i just kind of got stuck in a rut for like the next 5 hours where my stack didn't move much. I couldn't really get anything going in the later stages but got it all in with AK vs. guys 1010 and didn't improve so i busted in a disappointing 15th for like 970 or something. If i couldve just won that flip i couldve made some moves but i didn't and i end up with yet another deep/disappointing finish.

Well that's pretty much how things have been going up here. The 1k tourney starts in about an hour so hopefully i can get deep in that as well. Anyways room service is about to be here so check back in a few days to see how i did and I'm out.

Windsor,Michigan, and New York all in one day........

Exhausted! I am just finally settling down in my hotel room in New York and man it feels good to just lay down. You might be wondering what the hell I'm doing in New York and to be honest I'm kind of wondering the same haha. After a long night of drinking Saturday night we decided it would be a good idea to leave from Denny's at around 4a.m. and go to Casino Windsor to bet on the Patriots game. This was probably not the best idea but it sounded good at the time. We strolled into their new sports book around 5-6 and sure enough they aren't open, no big deal the game isn't until 8pm the next day. We go back to bet on the game the next day and let me tell you their sports book is the most rigged thing i have ever seen. You cant place a single bet on just 1 game, the only bets you can make have to be parlays, and you cant even bet the spread and over/under parlay it has to be either all point spreads or all over/unders, so gay. Well sure enough this ended up really helping us out because the patriots played like shit and that would've been money down the drain. We ended up just staying in Windsor for Sunday/Monday and there was lots of alcohol consumed and some crazy canucks on the loose. Just a few things from the few days- drunk chick completely doing a face plant on the floor, some guys doing coke right on a table at the bar in front of everyone, these guys getting mad because they got kicked out haha, getting approached by some street walkers that wanted to "Party" with us for 20 dollars hahahahahha, that's right i said 20 dollars, so gross. I'm sure there was some stuff I'm leaving out but it was an interesting couple of days to say the least.

We left Windsor this morning around 10 to head back to ptown and i decided i needed to go to Turning Stone http://www.turning-stone.com/ for a while. So i got back to port Huron still feeling like shit and decided to change my flight back to vegas from today until next Tuesday and booked a room at Turning stone through Sunday. They have like 5 deep stack tournaments this week http://turning-stone.com/gaming/poker/2007superstacks.php with really great structures so i figured i might as well win them, haha no but i think with these structures i like my chances. I'm playing all of the events until Sunday and really hope that i can make some noise in one of these things instead of my usual get deep/get screwed bust out.

Anyways i just wanted to give you a quick update on where/what Ive been up to the past week. I will post a little more when i get back to Vegas about how my turkey break was and put up some pics from over the break. The tournaments are only 1 day tourneys so i will give an update each day of how I'm doing/or how i managed to donk off my chips. Im sitting here in Mcarran airport nervously awaiting (i hate flying) to board my plane and figured i would do a quick post before heading home. I thought that the airport would be a total madhouse due to it being the day before thanksgiving but its actually been pretty quick. My flight takes off at 10:30 and i didnt get here until a little after 9 but im already done with everything and now just waiting. When i booked my flight through travelocity they didnt give the option to pick you seat which happens sometimes and has usually never been a big deal, but sure enough i am stuck with a fucking middle seat. I already dread flying anywhere as it is and now i have to be uncomfortable the whole time on top of it. Usually you can just ask for another seat and they will give you one but not this time, i even tried asking for 1st class and that was a no go as well.

Its been a few days since i last posted and with me going home i dont really know when the next ill be able to so i figured i would do a quick post. I went to best buy today to finally pick up a new ipod and decided to go with the 80gb video classic one. I really wanted to get an ipod touch but the largest one they have out so far is only 16gb so i know if i buy one im sure they will come out with like a 5899594 million gb one tomorrow. I also went to the bank, washed all my clothes, returned some stuff, bought some new clothes, and even washed my car, what a long day.

Friday night we went out to this bar/lounge called Taboo inside of Mgm. We got a comped table/bottle so it was pretty cool but we didnt really stay too long because the bottle was literally gone in about a half hour. After that we decided to head over to the strip club Sin again where we had 2 more comped bottles. Stayed there until about 8 in the morning again which really hit me the next day and i didnt even end up going out saturday night just played a little poker.

I played some 5/10nl at the wynn on saturday night and was able to book around 500 after being really card dead the whole time. I went back sunday on like no sleep and ran into a pretty sick set up which ended up in me losing like a 2k pot. Then I played some more 5/10 at the wynn last night but left up around 800 bucks when the game got pretty tough. I still wanted to play so i went over to caesars hoping they would have a 5/10 going but they didnt so i played some 2/5 for a few hours and made around 1100.

Anyways my plane is boarding so im out.

I didn't really plan on posting anything but I'm sitting here watching my roommate play guitar hero and figured what the hell. Just when i thought i was starting to get back into a some what normal sleeping schedule we ended up staying out partying last night until about 10 this morning. We had a few beers here before heading to Pure where we were supposed to have a table/bottle but that didn't really end up happening. We did end up getting right in for free with no waiting in line though and I'm kind of glad we didn't end up getting a table because it was actually kind of lame in there. It was still pretty busy/cool but compared to other times I've been there i guess it seemed lame because it wasn't jam packed full of people which i hate anyways. Travis Barker was supposed to be there last night but something came up i guess and he wasn't there, big loss. We ended up drinking there for a while and i think around 3 or 4 we decided to head over to this strip club called SIN. We ended up getting a free table/bottle from this kids girlfriend we were with and this is about the point where things got a little hazy. I ended up talking to this chick for what seemed like 85 hours and she wants me to teach her to play poker haha. I ended up getting her number but i don't remember her name or really what she looks like so i think that's about as far as its going to go but who knows. Theres nothing more disgusting than drinking all night and having to walk outside afterwards when its broad daylight out. Well that was a recap of last nights mess and my sleep schedule is now going to be fucked again thanks to it.

Today i woke up around 4 and immediately knew that i was going to accomplish absolutely nothing. I was still kind of drunk/ feeling weird from the night before so i decided to play in some tournaments because those don't really require much thought haha. I ended up playing in 3 tournaments total and cashed in 2 of them. I played in the 22+re buys, 50+5, and the Wednesday 300+20. I really feel like i shouldve cashed in all 3 of them but i got unlucky in the 22+re buys and wasn't able to cash in this one. I made pretty deep runs in both of the other tourneys but disappointingly finished 18th in the 50+5 for about $360 and busted 61st in the 300 for like $560, another waste of time.

While i was sitting around playing we watched probably the funniest stand up show i have ever seen. If you have on demand watch this show called Katt Williams : Pimp Chronicles and thank me later. Its by far the funniest thing I've seen in the past few years and actually almost had me in tears at one point. Also while i was sitting around we got a knock on the door and sure enough it was my xbox 360, thanks pokerstars haha. Pokerstars hasn't updated their frequent player points store http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp/store/ in a while so i decided to waste some points on a Nintendo Wii and this xbox. I really hope they put update their store with some more electronics because I've got like 200,000 points but i have ordered pretty much everything from there. Today i woke up around noon and i am completely exhausted from it. Noon sounds like a pretty late time to wake up but my sleep schedule has been really messed up the past few weeks and im not used to getting up until like 4 or 5. I did play some live poker today at the wynn and messed around for about an hour online playing. I got to the wynn around like 2 and i think i might start going earlier in the day from now on because the players were absolutely horrible. It was a lot older crowd of players which generally means super tight and they are usually just bad players. I started off down 600, then up like 900, and when i decided to quit i had made around 500. I also played a few 100 dollar sit n gos while watching conan and ended up making like 300 online. Anyways I dont really feel like typing much more so ill just put some pictures up of random things in our apartment. Check back tomorrow and im out.

When the week started off it looked like i was on pace to have one of my worst weeks ever, but luckily i was able to finish it off strong. I think i was down about 5-6k after the first few days(got killed/ took a million bad beats at Omaha) but after some pretty good no limit sessions i was able to finish the week about even. After absolutely getting raped at Omaha i decided to play some 5/10nl (first time in like a month)10/20nl and i was able to put up some pretty good numbers in a very short period of time. I played for about an hour on Thursday made around 1k, played about 3 hours Friday made around 3.5k, and played a ton of tournaments today and made around another 1k. I also played live at the Wynn for a few hours last night before going out and made another 500, which felt great because the last few times I've played live I've got killed. To quote the great Phil Hellmuth "i guess if there wasn't luck I'd win every one." and as ridiculous as it sounds this quote really sums up how i feel about my last week or two of poker. I feel like I've been playing great but every time i get it all in as a huge favorite i just take some horrible beat and end up losing the pot. Hopefully those days are over now and i can get back to making a few bucks.

With today being Sunday it could only mean one thing..... football and tournament poker. I played like 7 tournaments today, cashed in 3 of them for around 1k, and got a brutal reminder of why i hate tournaments. The only cash that really mattered today came in the $215 second chance tourney where i got really deep before getting fucked yet again to finish in 16th place. There were around 1200 players with first prize being a nice 50k and i manage to bust out in 16th place for 1500 or something..... SO FRUSTRATING. Theres just nothing more disappointing than playing forever, getting deep in a tourney, and taking some horrible beat to get knocked out. This idiot tourney donk made such a horrible play and in true pstars fashion he was obviously rewarded when his K10 off suit was greater than my pocket 10's all in preflop. He made such a horrible play and if my 10's hold up in that spot i would've been in the top 4 in chips with 16 left, but obviously he hit a K on the turn and i busted in 16th place. I wish i had the hand history to show you his horrible play but i only know how to put up cash game hands and not tournament hands.
Quick summary- I have 110,000, he has around 180,000, blinds are 5,000/10,000
He minimum raises it utg to 20,000, everyone folds to me in the big blind with pocket 10's, I raise it to 95,000 and he thinks for like 5 seconds before going all in. Such a horrible play i just don't understand what can be going through someones mind to be pushing in k10 off there for all ur chips. So GAY and another lost opportunity to have my first big score.

The title of this quick post pretty much sums up my play over the past few weeks. I really feel like I've been playing pretty good poker but i just cant find a way to book a winning session. This sucks because i really wanted to put up some good numbers before going home for thanksgiving but its still early in the month and hopefully i can turn things around. I don't think that I've been playing my A+ game, but at the same time i feel like I've been playing pretty well. I just cant find a way to get any of my hands to hold up. Ive taken a sick amount of bad beats this past week and its just getting more frustrating by the day. It just seems like every time i pick up a hand I'm already thinking to myself "here we go again" instead of thinking about how I'm going to maximize the value out of it. I put in a session at the Wynn yesterday which ended up in me just getting up and leaving after i got it all in on a flop of AK8 with KK and the idiot with A8 obviously hitting an A on the river. The game was so weak it was actually amusing but after flopping a set for the 5th time and losing all 5 i figured it wasn't going to be my day. I haven't played much plo this month but have managed to lose like 2.5k and for no limit I'm only down about 700 which i think is amazing for how many beats ive taken. Its really frustrating to play when u are running bad but i feel i can statistically only lose so many hands before skill starts to outweigh luck again. Im going to play at the venetian tonight just for a change of scenery and I've also had the itch to play in a tourney so i might play in the 175 buy in to change things up. Oh , almost to mention my latest final table meltdown which happened at binions about a week ago. Binions was running a mini world series last month with different tournaments daily with 200 buy in. Unfortunately i didn't find out about this until like the last week of the month so i only played in 1 of the tournaments. I was playing really well and the other players were pretty bad so i made the 6 handed final table only to come up short once again and bust out in 4th place for like 1900 or something. The 1900 was okay but as I've said in all my previous posts i just want to win one of these stupid things. Ive won/lost pots worth more than the first prize money but it doesn't even come close to comparing to how shitty you feel after making a final table and not closing the deal.

In other news i finally decided to pick up a new laptop so now i can play poker without having to be cooped up back in my room. I got an HP and I'm really liking it so far. I was pretty pissed at first because the wireless Internet wouldn't work but rather than take it to best buy (more on these clowns in a second)to pay them 50 bucks to push a button i decided to try and figure it out myself. I knew it had something to do with the Internet settings but just couldn't figure out exactly what it was. Luckily pocketfives.com is such a great site that if you have a question about anything you can get the answer to it in about 10 minutes so that's what i did and i was on the net in no time.

The best buy here is the biggest compilation of scum i have ever seen. As soon as you walk in the door its like you are entering a circus or like a party at a trailer park. Ive never been to either of these but I'm assuming its the same as the best buy here. First I'm trying to get some help/ask some questions about a few different laptops which ended up in me telling the employee about the computer and this "new crazy" technology known as HDMI. I'm asking him what the difference between these 2 models are and he actually says "i don't know the only difference i see is that this one is 200 more." I then had to pretty much figure it out myself and find out that the actual difference was twice as much memory and it was HDMI compatible. I point this out to the guy and show him how there is a hdmi input in the one i ended up getting and not one in the other and the guy had never heard of hdmi haha. Im sure this isn't common knowledge to everyone but for someone who works at best buy in the computer dept. i would think this would be pretty standard. The guy was absolutely clueless and I'm assuming that if you have a pulse you can work in the computers department there. After finally deciding on which computer i want to go with its time to actually pay for the thing at the geek squad(should be called circus show) counter. There are about 7 employees all standing around talking to each other doing absolutely nothing. There were 2 people in line in front of me and what shouldve taken about 5-10 minutes ended up in me sitting there pissed for about a half hour. It was like they were there to hang out with each other instead of doing any kind of work. The 3 of us are standing in line not being helped while 7 of best buys retards are in the corner just talking/laughing it up like they are hanging out at a bar or something. One of the retards actually yells across the room to a guy in another dept. to go turn on some music and turn it up. The guy at the front of the line then says to the group of uselessness how about you forget about the music and come over here and help us. The kid didn't really seem to enjoy this comment but what could he really do i mean it is what they are being paid for. So after that fiasco which caused me to miss the first 45 minutes of the Sunday million(went out in 1100th place,gay) i was finally able to get out of that gong show and come to the conclusion that i will never return to that best buy again. This is the 3rd time I've gone there and each time ive left the store thinking what a bunch of idiots so I'm done with them.

While i was there i also picked up Seinfeld season 8 and Guitar here 3 which might be the most addicting game ever. I planned on going to play poker that night but decided to play the game for a few minutes and ended up playing for like 3 hours and not leaving the apartment haha.

Well this has got to be a lot longer than i expected so I'm going to finish this up. I was planning on putting up some pictures but i think my camera is down in my car so i will do that in the next post which might be later tonight. Hopefully it wont be another rant about bad beats but we will see. Anyways check back later to see how things went and I'm out.

It has been a while since I've posted so i want to give you a quick run down on what I've been up to. As you can see from my previous post i didn't have much time to play poker with friends being in town and right after they left we had another buddy come in town 2 days later. So as you can imagine its been a pretty long couple of past weeks and i haven't found much time to play as much poker as i wanted to. I had a fun time during the visits but man am i glad to get back to a normal schedule instead of going out every night until the sun comes up. I don't really know why i tried to run a goal this month when i knew i wouldn't have much time to play but i still managed to put together a decent month on very limited play. I think overall i made around 10k online and anywhere from 4-7k playing live. I'm not really sure how much i made live because it seemed as though the money was being spent quicker than i could make it. I started off the month running insanely good but have since cooled down and dropped about 3-4k in the past few sessions. I was able to reach the original goal of 15k in the month but with so much going on and me hitting a little road bump theres just no way the 25 was going to be possible. Overall I'm still very pleased with how the month has turned out but it honestly feels like i haven't made anything because i haven't been able to book a winning session in like a week. So i guess i reached the original goal but i didn't take it serious at all. Now that i can get back on a some what normal schedule i plan on getting in a lot of poker before going home for a week during Thanksgiving. I fly out to go home on November 20th so i think im going to run a 3 week goal of making 5k from no limit and 5k from omaha before i head back to p town.

I usually suck at betting on football but over the past 3 weeks i haven't had a loss! That is just a little crazy to go from losing about 80% of the time to going 100% and even hitting a 3 team parlay this weekend. I think before i would just kind of bet a few games just for the hell of it but now unless theres a game I'm very very confident in i wont bet. This weekend there were 2 games that i really liked, the patriots and the steelers. The Steelers were -3.5 at Cincinnati who are awful and the patriots were -16 at home vs. the redskins. Instead of betting the games separately i decided to put together a 3way parlay which included the steelers,patriots, and the over in the patriots game which was 47.5. Long story short they all came through and i was able to turn my 120 parlay into a nice 840 dollar payday. Also my friend(c. moeller) and i decided that we would bet every single nfl game and every over/under. This made the last 2 Sunday's very entertaining because we didn't pick the games. Instead we went down the list of games and flipped a coin (heads=home/ tails=away) to decide who to pick on every single game haha. There are 14 games every week so with the games and the over/unders that meant there were 28 bets we had to make. We decided to just bet 10 on each and actually ended up doing pretty well haha. Last week we turned our 280 into like 380 or something and this week we didn't do as well but we still ended up making like 40 bucks, either way it was still pretty fun.

On Sunday we went to Vegoose music festival and it was amazing. The show started at noon and we didn't get there until about 630 due to Saturday nights activities. We got there right as the Muse were going on stage and they really put on a good show. I didn't really know much about them before the concert but i think i am probably going to pick up their cd(rip it from limewire), i was really impressed with them. The real stars of the show were Rage against the Machine. They played all their old stuff and really put on a great show. I couldn't believe how good they sounded for being live. They honestly sounded just like you were sitting in your room listening to the cd it was that good. Ive been to a good amount of concerts and usually when i go to a rock one the band always sounds pretty crappy.

Tomorrow is Halloween and i still don't have a costume.. I really have no clue what I'm going to be so we will probably just go to some crappy costume store tomorrow and put together some random stuff. We got tickets to go see Marilyn Manson tomorrow night at the Palms and it should be a pretty fun time. Ive only heard a few songs from his new cd but i have liked what I've heard and I'm sure he'll be playing some of his old stuff as well. If for some reason the show isn't good I'm sure it will still be entertaining to see peoples costumes and the crowd of people for the show. Paris Hilton is having some costume party tomorrow night at LAX so we might stop by their after the concert for a quickie. Anyways this is getting pretty long so i hope you enjoyed the update and check back tomorrow to see how the concert was and I'm out.

What a 4 day weekend........ (very long)

This picture came out pretty blurry but i would say it perfectly sums up the week and how things looked during it. We had some friends in town for 4 days and what started off as just going to some clubs ended up in us ballin out for 4 nights straight. They arrived in town on thursday and it was pretty much on from the get go. The first night we decided to go to L.A.X. and we got the sickest table in the club. My roommate(hodge) pulled some strings and got us a table right next to the dance floor and it was pretty sweet. We went in expecting to just have just one of the normal tables upstairs but ended up getting escorted to the best seat in the house right next to the dance floor. We took a few pictures but unfortunately they didnt really come out and didnt really capture how sick it was. We also got a bottle for free which was gone in about 20 minutes so we decided to buy 2 more haha. I think we mightve been pushing it going for 3, since there was only 5 of us on 3 litres, but what can you do. Unfortunately the birthday boy got kicked out shortly after we bought the next 2 bottles so we had to leave but not without the rest of the drinks. Our hostess (who i probably wouldve married on the spot) came back and gave us some big cups to take the rest of the vodka with us. After wandering around the luxor for a while we somehow ended up at Caesars and got into a confrontation with some "working ladies." These girls wouldnt leave us alone so some things were said that they didnt like and long story short they took off to go get their pimps to "come get us." It turned into quite the spectacle in the lobby. So after they said they were going to do that the bartender told us that we should probably leave because they would be coming back to get us. We decided to just head back to the imperial palace where things got even more rediculous but i cant really go into detail about it.

Friday i woke up feeling pretty shitty from the night before but was ready to do it again. Lauren had arrived from cali and it was time to do some serious drinking. Before we went out though we decided to have a decent meal at the Stratosphere haha. You're probably thinking "the stratosphere? thats gross" because i was thinking the same thing but they actually have a nice restaurant at the very top of it. It actually ended up being a lot nicer than i was expecting and the food was really good. We all ended up getting steaks/drinks and our tab ended up being around 500 which i didnt really mind because i havent had a nice meal like that in a while. The place was all quit with people trying to have nice romantic dinners and then there was us.

This is a picture from our dinner and the really nice view of the whole city. It was pretty cool up there because while you are eating the whole restaurant is actually spinning around. I would definately recommend it to anyone who comes to vegas because the restaurant is nice plus you get a great view of everything. It takes an hour for the thing to make a whole rotation so while you are there you get to see the whole city. This picture came out really good but for some reason when i try to load it on here it looks all shitty so you cant really tell thats the strip behind us.

After our dinner it was time to start getting down to business. We headed back to the I.P. to do some pre drinking before we headed out. We ended up doing a lot of pre drinking this night before actually going out. It was now about 1 so we decided to get out of the palace and head over to the palms. We saw a limo out front of the imperial and decided we definately needed one for the 5 minute drive. After this limo ride on friday night we only took limos the rest of the trip no matter where we went haha. We rolled into palms around 130 or so and decided we were going to go to ghost bar, didnt happen. We got up to the door and there was no line so we decided it was probably dead and decided we would check it out another night. We then continued to pre drink at a bar in the palms which involved a ton of shots, all of us getting raped at roulette, and some high stakes paper,rock, scissors haha. It was pretty funny at the bar when we were roshamboing for money everyone there was more interested in watching us then anything else. Here's me owning tony telling him im going to go scissors (although it kind of looks like im doing something else.... haha) before we play and then actually going scissors to take it down.

So it was now about 4 or 5 in the morning and after all the shenanigans and predrinking at the palms we decided it was time to go out haha. We hopped into a limo and decided to head over to an after hours club called Seamless. Seamless is pretty cool because its a strip club but its not. What i mean is that its pretty nice inside but theres no stage so its more like a nice bar where there are girls walking around giving dances. Hodge whipped out his business card at the door and we were immediately escorted into the "celebrity" table, which was pretty much the same as all the other tables but up a few feet in the air and had some ropes in front of it. I think at this point we were all pretty wasted/some passing out but we decided we needed to get a bottle anyways. We were here for a few more hours before finally calling it a night/morning so we decided to get a party bus back to the I.P. I really dont remember how or why we got in this party bus to drive us back but it sounds like it was pretty cool.

I woke up saturday evening feeling like total shit and did not want to move. But after some tylenol, tums, tons of water, some Fifa 08 (if you have a ps3 buy this game)and a kettle&cranberry i was ready to go again. We headed over to their hotel (i.p.) around 10 to meet up and do some pre- drinking. I think we were all feeling a little shitty from the night before but within no time we were doing shots again haha. It was pretty funny because when we got there we were all saying how we spent so much money last night, took so many shots, were NOT going to take anymore limos, pre-drank for way too long, and didnt want to do that again tonight, wrong. We sat around the i.p pre drinking for like 3 hours, took shots, and decided to get into a limo around 1 to take us to the ghost bar at the Palms. This was the bar that was on the Real world and it was pretty cool i guess. There wasnt anything to spectacular about it other than the outside area. There was a great view from out there and they had a spot where there was a glass floor where you could stand on it and see all the way down to the ground. It was kind of funny to watch people around it. There were people like stomping on it trying to break it for some reason which was funny but would suck because you would die.

Empire is really cool because they play sick music( if you like techno) and it doesnt open until 3am and closes at like 3 the next day i think. Obviously we decided that we needed another table/bottle but this time it kind of sucked because our table was in a really shitty spot. We stayed here for a few hours before finally calling it a night.

Finally it was sunday there last night out here and i was glad it was their last night. We had a great time but i just dont think my body could handle many more nights like these. I headed over to the I.P. to have some pre drinks and for us to figure out what we were going to do for the night. I didnt get there til around 11 or 12 so we only predrank for an hour or so before deciding we were going to go to the playboy club.

After we got there we talked to a few people who told us that it sucked so we just decided to have a few drinks there and figure something else out. We decided that we were going to head over to the Wynn and go to Tryst. Once again hodge pulled out the business card and we were right in with no cover. I have always heard this place was sweet and is supposed to be one of the hottest clubs in vegas and it definately lived up to the hype. It was like an inside/outside (whatever that means) place so when you were inside it still felt like you were outside and it had this huge waterfall type thing in the middle of the club. Its hard to explain exactly how it looked but it was just a cool place to be and the fact that every girl in the place was amazing didnt hurt.

We went to a place called Sin which i had never really heard but at this point we couldve went anywhere and it wouldve been fun. We ended up staying here for a really long time and i didnt end up getting home until around 8 or 9 in a cab, gross.

I know this was reallllllllllllllyyyyyyy long but i hope that it was entertaining. I dont really feel like getting into any poker talk right now after typing all this but i will tomorrow for sure. Ive hit a little road bump and im now convinced that live poker is rigged after losing a 4.5k pot to a world series of poker bracelet winner last night, ill get into it more tomorrow. I actually reached the goal yesterday afternoon but didn't want to post because i didn't know what i should do now that its been reached. I have decided I'm going to continue with the goal for this month but I'm going to up the ante and try to reach 25k. It only took me 10 days to reach the 15k which is pretty absurd because i really haven't been playing that much. Ive only been playing like 1-2 hour sessions online and have only played a few days live during the goal. At this point i feel like I'm free rolling because even if i slowdown and end up making 15 this month that is still a nice amount of money for playing a game.

We went bowling last night at the Lucky strike in the Rio and man did i suck haha. Luckily for me everyone else was bowling as bad as me so i didn't look like a bum. The first game i barely broke 100 haha. I really couldn't believe how bad i was playing because i was about 7-8 beers deep at this point and this is usually when I'm in the zone. Now I'm not saying I'm a good bowler but barely breaking 100 is horrible, i can usually shoot at least around 140-150. The bowling alley was pretty nice but for some reason they decided that the heat needed to be turned on. It was literally about 90 in the bowling alley and everyone including the workers were complaining but for some dumb reason the casino controls the heat in there and not the bowling alley itself. By the time the 2nd game had started everyone was agitated from the heat and just wanted to finish. All in all it was a pretty fun time drinking/bowling but i feel like the heat really put a damper on the whole event.

We grabbed some food while we were there which included something new I've never had or even heard of before, fried macaroni and cheese haha. How disgusting is that. Its hard to see why the country is having an obesity problem. Lets take some normal food that probably isn't good for you but not horrible and fry it up haha. I tried a few of these little fat balls and they weren't that bad but the whole idea of it was kinda gross and this is coming from someone who its pretty unhealthy.

I have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow that i have been putting off all week so it should be a pretty hectic day. My schedule for tomorrow-
wake up by noon= gross, tons of laundry, get my car looked at(convertible top wont go up), clean car inside/out, get hair cut, shop for some clothes for the weekend(probably do this instead of laundry),get new Laptop and whatever else from bestbuy, clean room, and try to squeeze a few hours of poker in. I'm tired from typing all this let alone having to wake up and do it all haha. We'll see how much of this i actually accomplish.

The Krazees(wirtz klan and lauren) are coming into town Thursday night for the weekend so I'm looking forward to that. It should be an interesting weekend to say the least and I'm sure i will have some pics to put up afterwards. Well this is getting really long so i just wanted to let u know whats up with the goal so keep checking back and here are a few hands from the past few days and I'm out.

Very lazy sunday with lots of football and poker....

I would say the title pretty much sums up my whole Sunday. I set my alarm to wake up by 1:30 so i would be able to register for the Sunday tournaments i wanted to play in. Unfortunately i had to go pick up my car at this same time so i wasn't able to play in any of the tournaments i wanted to. I did sign up for the big Sunday 215 though and that was the main one i wanted to play in. After missing the whole first hour of the tournament picking up my car i came back right after the first break and still had a decent amount of chips. I chipped my way up pretty quickly and appeared to be cruising along until i went totally card dead. There were like 6000 people or something with it paying the top 900 and like 180,000 for first. I ended up finishing in like 420th place or something and quickly remembered why i hate tournaments. I played for like 4 hours to make like 600 when i couldve been playing some cash games. But i cant complain because if i keep getting into the money and playing well i hope eventually i will have that break through tourney. There was a full ring 10/20nl game going(which is rare lately) so i decided to sit for a while. I didn't really get too involved but was able to grind about 400 out of the game in about an hour. While i was playing i noticed that the Bears and Chargers were both under dogs in today's games so i decided to put money on them. I did a 120 dollar parlay to win 480 and both teams played pretty well today and i won the bet. Its pretty amazing how much more exciting the football games are to watch when you have a little bit of money on them. There was no way i would've sat and watched the packers bears game if i didn't have money on it, but it was actually a pretty exciting game and the bears D really stepped up big time in the 2nd half. There weren't many PLO games going but i did play for about 20 minutes and was able to pick up a couple nice pots.

I tried figuring out this logitech universal remote i bought along time ago but gave up on it fairly quickly. Your supposed to be able to just hook it up to your computer with a usb and it should work but they want all these codes and i just gave up. Ill probably try and figure it out tomorrow because it sounds/looks like it will be pretty sweet once its all set up. Here it is-

Curb was pretty decent tonight compared to some of the other episodes from this season. Some times though it seems like they are really trying to hard and i don't know how much longer this show will last, which is too bad because its one of my favorites. The red wings play tomorrow night(during the day here) and i still haven't got the NHL package so i will probably order that tomorrow so i can start watching the games. Its currently 330 am on Saturday night and am still feeling the after effects of Friday nights drinking. I feel like an old man haha. We were out drinking until around 8am this morning and there was just no way i could go out and do it again tonight so i stayed in. I didn't have much of a headache hangover, it was more of a my whole body feels shitty and eating/drinking anything sounds so gross. It feels pretty weird not doing anything on a Saturday night and i have to say the TV line up for Saturday nights is horrible. I guess I've never really watched TV on a Saturday night in like the past 5 years and its absolutely horrible. I really don't know how Saturday Night Live is still on the air. Whoever rights the jokes and sketches for the show should be fired.

Friday started off with me losing some money online during the day but ill get to that in a bit. After sitting around all day i decided to get ready and head to the Wynn to pre drink and make some money to pay for the night. I played for about 3 hours making like 450 or something and got a good buzz going before heading over to Tangerine where we were supposed to have a table/bottle. I must have been a little more drunk at this point than i thought because we didn't end up getting a bottle and i cant remember at all why we didn't. I'm actually glad we didn't because i don't like grey goose and i could keep drinking my kettel one. So after some drinks/shots it was probably around 4 in the morning and we decided to head to a strip club. We ended up going to 2 different ones which i cant remember the names of but the 2nd one we went to was filthy haha. All i can remember is this kid we were with buying me a lap dance from this like 45 year old bag and enjoying it haha, i was kind of DRUNK at this point. We mustve been there for a long time because Hodge said today that we didn't get back to the apartment until like 8 in the morning. If you have seen Varsity Blues where they are drinking at the strip club all night and walk out when its all sunny , that is exactly what this was like. So that was my weekend and now onto a little poker talk.

I knew as soon as i posted about needing a new goal i was going to jinx myself and sure enough i did. I didn't really lose a ton but i was on a nice little run and i had to go open up my big mouth and ruin it. Friday i played a few hours of PLO again and couldn't really get anything going. Every time i would get it all in my hands wouldn't hold up or if i needed to hit a draw i would completely miss. Pot limit Omaha is a drawing game and if you aren't hitting its going to be a bad session, even more so with how i play. So Friday i lost about 1k(-1500 online and +450 live) but i wasn't too mad because i felt i was playing well but just couldn't get any hands to hold up. Today i felt pretty shitty and wasn't planning on playing at all but with their being nothing on TV to watch i started to get bored and decided to play a few tournaments. I played in a 160 satellite and a 77 dollar 6 handed tournament. The satellite tournament was for a seat into the 10,000 dollar tournament in Aruba in January but i went out pretty early. There were only 60 players in it but i got all in with JJ vs kq and of course he hit a king on the river. The 6 handed tournament was a different story. There were like 240 players i think with first prize being 3900 and it paid out the top 30 spots. I ended up going out in 8th place just 2 spots shy of the final 6 table and made like 350. Yeah the 350 is nice, but unless you final table any of these tournaments you're not going to make any real money. There is nothing more frustrating than playing for 4 hours only to bubble the final table and only make 350 when i couldve been playing cash games during this time. I did decide to play PLO for about 2o minutes and put together a nice little win on the day. I think I'm going to play in some of the big Sunday tournaments tomorrow so hopefully some of the tourney success Ive had over the past few days will carry over to tomorrow. Its getting pretty late so I'm going to wrap this up with a few hands from the past few days and check back tomorrow night to see how i did in the tourneys and I'm out.

Quick shout out to Sidney Crosby who is absolutely sick. Also the red wings are looking pretty good and i cant believe the Joe wasn't sold out the other day. If Joe Louis isn't selling out than the NHL and its popularity level is in serious trouble. Hopefully Gary bettman will stop acting like a retard and quit driving the NHL into the ground. I bought some tickets today to the red wings vs. blues game for when i go home for thanksgiving and i cant wait.
